Sir Nighteye Week Day 3: Birthday | Bonds | Happiness Title: En Fandom: Boku no hero academia Character: Sir Nighteye Storytype: Reader Insert (F!Reader) Genre: Romance (kind of)  Author: NikaRyu a.k.a HanamakiMakoto Other: Written for the Sir Nighteye Week 2019 Excerpt:

{connection} A connection is something that can transpire between two people who share the same interests, have a similar mindset - or just meet under the same, odd circumstances. If one thing went wrong, everything went wrong. That was how you could describe the scene unfolding right before his eyes. Some sort of twisted version of Murphy’s Law. It was supposed to be a standard mission for All Might and him. Just rounding up some part time villains before moving on to the more tricky ones. Supposed being the key word here. He should have had a look into the future after all, Nighteye thought as he dodged one of the solid, yet surprisingly bouncy soap bubbles their opponent’s quirk was able to produce. Which made for good makeshift prisons and filled the entire street already. It had the bizarre resemblance of a bubble bath extraordinaire - on terra firma. “Aw, man, I told him to stay put.” The annoyed remark snapped him out of his sarcastic, mental grumbling and he looked around to see an exasperated police officer stay in the middle of the street, hands on her hips. With a sigh, she grabbed her walkie-talkie and turned it on. “[Name] here. I need a large unit for clean-up near Shibuya Station.”

Sir Nighteye Week Day 2: Puns | First | Favorite Scene Title: Hatsu Fandom: Boku no hero academia Character: Sir Nighteye Storytype: Reader Insert (F!Reader) Genre: Romance (kind of)/ Angst Author: NikaRyu a.k.a HanamakiMakoto Other: Written for the Sir Nighteye Week 2019 Excerpt:

The first time he doubted his decision had been when he was 17 and he felt unable to keep up with the Hero Course. The pressure was overwhelming and his classmates had all some kind of offensive quirk or another. They seemed far ahead while he stayed behind, no real battle power that could be proven, no energetic personality to go with. He liked his cases clean and orderly, easily to overlook and easily to strategize. When he had voiced his doubts to [Name], she had instantly shut them done. For her, his value as a hero had always laid elsewhere. Away from flashy scenes and growing popularity. “Don’t say that. Your Quirk can make the difference in a mission. It can make it successful. Because you, you, know the future, and when you carefully look ahead and strategize, it’s brainpower that will teach villains fear and not a flashy brawl.” And he had taken her words to heart, just like the ones she had said to him in Elementary School. And he had made them his. His strength were carefully strategized missions, unflashy pinpointed victories. There was no need for him to stand in the limelight. He would leave it to All Might.

Sir Nighteye Week Day 1: Wishful Thinking | Past | Work Title: Wishful Thinking Fandom: Boku no hero academia Character: Sir Nighteye Storytype: Reader Insert (F!Reader) Genre: Romance (kind of)/ Angst  Author: NikaRyu a.k.a HanamakiMakoto Other: Written for the Sir Nighteye Week 2019 Excerpt:

In his opinion, it was wishful thinking to change the future, any future. You could leap and jump, growl and scream, run and run, chasing after another, a different outcome. The future, he had learned early on, was unchangeable. Struggle was futile, attempts fruitless. Yes, if you asked him, changing the future was wishful thinking, for him the fates had been set the moment one was born into the world and you only followed down the path laid out by the fates. Having come to this conclusion, he had stopped struggling against the things his quirk foresaw, the futures he saw. Instead he perfected living to his utmost best, to make the right decisions, the ones that would prove helpful to society, to the people facing evil and dread. He perfected it, striding down his path without any hesitation, never questioning what he saw, only using it to make be more accurate, more on point, more accountable. And yet, he couldn’t shake off her words. A snide comment, laced with underlying anger and frustration. “Isn’t it wishful thinking to think everything is already set in stone and you only have to move accordingly to the plans fate has in store for you?” […]

Gosh I’m so late with this post. Anyway...

Thank you so much to those who have participated in this week! It was so much fun to read your fics and metas, look at the art and edits, and listen to the music mix. Let’s not forget the awesome cake. My gosh, I’m so happy that I decided to organize this! You’re all so talented! Please do keep doing what you’re doing. Thumbs up to all of you. I might organize this again if I can come up with any prompts. Feel free to throw some ideas at me on my personal ( @banaankind ) and-- who knows! You’ll certainly see me organize more events this year because I really want to organize a Mr. Compress week!

Oh! And if people come across this blog in the future and are like ‘damn I wish I could’ve joined in’, feel free to use the prompts as some sort of... 7 days challenge! Tag this blog in the post and I’ll certainly reblog what you made! I’ll keep using this blog and I’ll pay a lot of attention to the activity.
