Playing catch up on the Aaron and Liv storylines--

I hope they woulda been a bit more realistic with the alcoholism storyline, show some withdrawal, have good things happen a bit more slowly. Instead it was like, first AA meeting, bam now back with the boyfriend, new job and everything resolved, in 10 minutes. Very much true soap-style, I know, I know, but still.

I like Ben so far. He shares a lot of things with Aaron, what with the alcoholism and verbal and emotional abuse so far from his father, so I think he’s a good character for Aaron to move forward with. Covid restrictions make all the relationships look a bit off and ridiculous --Paddy and Chas having their wedding kiss blocked by a giant christmas tree was hilarious-- but obviously the main thing is that the cast stays safe and healthy.

I thought Mackenzie poking and flirting at Aaron was entertaining too, but maybe I just enjoy watching Aaron roll his eyes.

Aaron and Liv hugging in the hospital just made me realize how off watching the soap has felt, since that was the first hug that I remember seeing in a really long time! I hope we get to be closer to people again, on-screen or off-screen, sooner rather than later.

oh boy, i watched some emmerdale today and i realized that i miss aaron.

so,

i might do a catch up this week. r*bert was as obnoxious as always, but it makes me happy to know that soon he’ll be gone :) so maybe this is a great time to catch up when you know there’s light at the end of the tunnel

Dominic has been really grating on me recently but dumping a fucking saxophone outside the hospital??? Do you know how much those things are WORTH like how much lofty must cherish that sax, at least if you don’t want it, sell it to some kid who desperately wants to learn I’m sorry dom but that’s the final straw

true, lofty clearly should’ve thought about the worth of his saxophone before cheating on dom and capping it off by punching him in the face. lofty so coulda saved those precious saxophone £££ by not being a complete tosser. sad!

hello so when i created a survey for my high school essay i was able to see how many females in my survey that identified as bisexual for example, so if you were the one who created the survey, you should be able to see how many males in your survey that are bi or gay. it'll probably take some time though but maybe it's worth it. (you probably didn't create it tho asdfghj so feel free to ignore this) also i'm stupid because i realized that you can literally see how many people that identify as gay ughhh

i didn’t create the survey! i linked back to the survey creator at the bottom of the post (x). the creator of the survey never posted the full results, so thus there’s no data on the shipping divide, though people can go for an educated guess on that.

there’s no percentages shown on the smaller pieces of the pie, so i’m estimating that around 6% are male, and around 5.4% are nonbinary, bigender, genderfluid, agender etc.

since there’s only separate graphs for gender and sexuality, there’s no accurate way of knowing how many bisexual men for example are in the mix, tho i estimate around 6% of the people in the survey identify as “gay“, but there may be a couple bisexual men in the emmerdale fandom, as well as straight men etc. but it’s hard to tell specifics from the lil percentage-less pie pieces.

413 people took the survey. 6% of 413= ~24 people on all sides of the emmerdale fandom identify as gay according to the survey data.
