After a few seconds of nothing, Iris felt his shoulders relaxed. Most muggers or violent people would act instantly (a fact he knew unfortunately from experience). She just sat there, looking as nervous as he felt. His head turned quickly when he saw her lips move. He frowned. He couldn’t read her lips. The male reached up and tapped his ears, shaking his head.

YUKAKO DOESN’T GET COLD easily — but she’d rather be safe than sorry in traversing the dark streets at night. Adorning a long coat stopping at the top of her knees, she had no liable reason to be outside other than wanting to get fresh air.
She wasn’t expecting to see anyone, but when she saw the hearing impaired man from days ago throwing tarps over FROSTED FLOWERS in pajama clothes, she had no other choice but to watch from across the street.
She wanted to ask if he wanted help, but she knew he wouldn’t hear her. So, Yukako looks left and right before she crosses the street and better adjusts the placed tarps on the other flowers. He had been so much in haste that he didn’t even realize he’s not even COVERING THEM COMPLETELY.

In the back of his mind, Iris recalled not many workers would go the extra mile, especially for flowers. The shop had been closed. He should have just taken the consequences the next morning. But, that would just damage the flowers that couldn’t take care of themselves.

Still, it was cold. His face already held splotches of red from the decreasing temperature. His teeth sometimes chattered, shaking his frame. The male continued. Once the flowers were covered, he could worry about himself.

It wasn’t until he was done that he realized the female was there. The florist and then flushed even more red. He remembered her. Though they didn’t exchange names, it wasn’t like him to forget a face. And he remembered thinking this woman as pretty intimidating the last time they met. He nodded in thanks, making sure to mouth, ‘Thank you,’ as well.

    Once he found her attention back on him, Iris wished he paid more attention. She obviously asked him a question. Not knowing what else to do, he gave a small nod. Whatever it was, it would be fine.

        If he managed to look any more like a deer in the headlights, a car might actually hit him. But the woman in front of him imposed a senseless new sort of anxiety in him. Perhaps not senseless because even he could tell the woman screamed DANGEROUS! Wide cerulean eyes stared before he shook his head. No, staring was bad. She already looked upset. What should he do? ‘Try not to get on her bad side, obviously,’ he thought. Iris waved his hand to his splattered food in a wordless attempt to show what happened.
