I’m getting very emotional over the poetic and potentially final message sent out by the mars opportunity rover 😥

Thanks to this individual for creating a petition that finally caught on. I’ve signed many in the past that garnered little support. Now is the time! People are becoming educated and activated!
In case you don’t know why this petition is so important, here’s information from the National wildlife foundation:
“Invasive species can change the food web in an ecosystem by destroying or replacing native food sources. The invasive species may provide little to no food value for wildlife. Invasive species can also alter the abundance or diversity of species that are important habitat for native wildlife.”
A lot of people don’t realize that the laws we have about protecting the environment from invasive plants is extremely lax. It’s perfectly legal to buy, sell, and plant most invasive species in most places...despite the hugely detrimental ecological impacts. There are also no laws stopping people from importing and planting whatever new plants they want. Over 80% of invasive plants were introduced through horticulture, with no scientific vetting whatsoever.
I tend to be somewhat skeptical of the effectiveness of petitions, but I hope at a bare minimum, this helps raise awareness of how large garden centers often sell dangerous invasive plants. And it's almost impossible to find native plants at them, because they try to sell a standardized set of plants at all stores - this despite the fact that a lot of native plants are incredibly beautiful and easy to grow.
11. Pocahontas (Pocahontas, 1995)
“He wants me to be steady, like the river. But it’s not steady at all!”
A very heart-warming series by artist Marciano Palácio.
Sadly it still is considered shameful by society for a boy (or a male of any age) to like and identify with strong female characters, which is why the message that these illustrations convey is particularly important.
i’m going to start calling american music a-pop. for no reason
Ran into "Grandma's" ship, and it was sooo cozy inside. I gave her a little bit of money, and she gave me food in return.

I see Hollywood is now very into the idea of buying something once and then owning it forever and being able to make infinite copies. Which. Isn’t quite the message they imparted upon me in my childhood. In the spirit of their own long-held stance:
These are all brands of anti-depressants
Make sure Miranda gets these as soon as possible. And tell her I switched in the Dior for the Rocha. — Oh, great. Can’t wait.
