popular holotuber spacebomberguy has uploaded a new five hour video essay! it starts as a critique of the new “dress like a senator” fashion line and it’s place in pro-republic clone wars propaganda, before spiraling into a discovery that chancellor palpatine is a sith lord!! reactions on the holonet are mixed, with macewinduofficial declaring the video “necessary viewing for all of coruscant” while anakinskyyyy3534 replied to a link with “TLDW”

literally going to think of this 4ever

Last night was my company Holiday Party, and we're doing really well, so it was held at the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston)

I was so happy that also included the Styled by Sargent exhibit, of John Singer Sargent paintings and the actual articles of clothing alongside them.

Now, you have probably seen this painting of Lady Macbeth

But have you seen the costume she's wearing??

It's gorgeous, obviously.

But that texture! It's *crochet*

And some knitting

Really simple crochet too; just a chain and single crochet lattice with beads and metallic thread added for this chain mail effect.

Despite John Singer Sargent being an expert painter of fabric (no, really, just look at it), I never knew Lady Macbeth's costume had to be *hand crocheted* for that texture in the painting.

Anyway I'm gonna be making myself some faux-chainmail by crocheting it for the next Renn Faire

It's absolutely stunning, but the mount of the cape is also superb. It created the original silhouette without damaging the dress or putting pressure on it.

Also, those little flecks? Fuckin' beetle wings.

I mean I know a certain level of projection on fictional characters and situations is inevitable and even healthy, but sometimes you got to step back into the real world to remind yourself that Character X is not your shitty parent/abusive ex/asshole boss/bully from high school, and that people who like Character X are not personally victimizing you.

If you hear me sighing, it's not always because I'm sad or bored or frustrated. I'm just sighing like a dog or a cat.

(unless it's the other things)

sighing from time to time just because is good for the soul and the lungs! For lungs, bc the alveoli (the tiny sacks that lungs are made of) can sometimes collapse and a deep sigh helps reset them. And the soul bc a deep exhale is just as good or possibly even better than a deep inhale at activating the parasympathetic nervous system to reduce heartrate, drop blood pressure and even improve digestion

Me @ me: The job situation in a little tenuous so we need to save money!

Me, who copes with stress by shopping: 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

Did I spend several hundred dollars on Vlambase merch, Ed Sheeran cozy autumn vibes merch, and a year subscription to Dropout because I have a new hyperfixation? Yes.

Did I instantly feel better inside? Also yes.

Some people will tell you that buying things won't make you happy, and those people are idiots.

Aw, sorry you're going through stressful times, glad you've got ways to feel better 🤗 tbh, Im in a similar boat, i have an upcoming fun but expensive holiday and upcoming expensive and no fun surgery i should be saving for, but! Getting that hand dyed super cozy yarn for my hopefully pretty sweater-to-be really helps me cope with the stress of it!

My adaptation of the God of Arepo short story, which was originally up at ShortBox Comics Fair for charity. You can get a copy of the DRM-free ebook here for free - and I'd encourage you to donate to Mighty Writers or The Ministry of Stories in exchange.

Again it's an honour to be drawing one of my favourite short stories ever. Thank you so much for the original authors for creating this story; and for everyone who bought a copy and donated to the above non-profits.

Aziraphale: *defies God's will and gives away his Holy Weapon to protect 2 humans who God Herself literally just cast out of paradise* *has unwavering faith in a demon's kindness* *lies an archangel in the face* *saves Crowley's life* *is ready to fight Satan himself with basically a Stick* *protects the one person in the universe who has probably mistreated him the most at extreme risk to his own life* *ready to fight 71 demons with a candle holder to protect 2 humans and said person who mistreated him all his existence* *gives up literally everything he loves the most in the world for the slim chance that he might make a dent in a system that brings nothing but suffering hoping to make the world a better place for everyone in it*

People out there (nowhere near me, luckily for everyone involved): *talk shit about Aziraphale*

Me: What the FUCK
