7. Iron Man 2 - Listen, I know it's arguably the worst Iron Man movie in terms of, like, everything critics care about. But I'm not a critic and I don't give a shit. Iron Man 2 makes me happy. I like watching it.

6. The Fast and The Furious - It's classic and it's before the movies got too big for their boxoffice. Plus who doesn't love a young, sweaty, wife-beater wearing Vin Diesel?

5. Hell or High Water - I love westerns but what I love even more are modern westerns and this movie scratches that itch immensely. Taylor Sheridan is a literal, literary genius.

4. Harmony Cats - My favorite actor is Kim Coates, clearly, so if you know me you knew I'd have a movie of his on this list. This one is a little known hidden gem but it's funny.

3. Identity Thief - Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman, c'mon.... It's the comedy duo you never knew you needed. Melissa has a direct line to my funny bone and Jason Bateman is a serious actor, both comedic and dramatic.

2. Due Date - It's hilarious. It's quotable as fuck. Robert Downey Jr. is in his element. Zach Galifianakis is stupid funny. I find myself from time to time just randomly thinking about this movie and laughing.

1. Cold Brook - Yes another Kim Coates movie, but it has so much heart. It's innocent, it's fun, it's wholesome, it has a happy beginning and an even happier ending. It's a good, well-rounded movie that has an important message. I highly recommend it, no matter who you are.

I don’t think I have 7 comfort movies, but I definitely have comfort tv series 😬 does it count? I hope so, so here you go:

1. The Big Bang Theory: I watched the first seasons with my ex, then when he died it took me a couple of years before ending it, it was strange looking without him. But now I go back and rewatch it and it never fails to make me laugh and give me good vibes.

2. Grey’s Anatomy: my forever comfort tv series, but with the years it has footed too long maybe and I’m still a bit behind, not wanting to see what I already know will happen (Saying goodbye to AK). Reminds me of the moment in my life where I started changing the way I now see the world.

3. Orange Is The New Black: reminds me that life changes constantly and it never fails to surprise you, in good or bad ways. Reminds me that your world can be turned upside down in a moment and that you never know yourself too much, there’s always something new to learn about that person you see in in the mirror when you get up in the morning.

4. 50 First Dates (this is really a movie lol): makes me believe that maybe love exists for real, but mostly makes me laugh...and believe. I don’t know in what, but believe.

5. Sons Of Anarchy: I know, I know...only 5th? Well, this ranking changes depending on the moment, and the phase I’m in life lol, and I don’t think I should add a reason to this no??

6. Double Trouble (movie): another love of mine is big grumpy men being as lovely as a teddy bear 🧸 lol, and this is exactly that, plus it’s super fun!

7. Perfetti Sconosciuti (translated to perfect strangers, but not the “Perfect Stranger” movie with H. Berry) (movie): makes me think about how we never know people we think we know everything about. Friends who’ve been knowing each other since forever play a game: everyone places their phone on the table and they will share their messages and calls with the rest of the group. Harmless at first but then....And yet we have a double ending, one with revealed affairs and unexprected coming out, and one where the lies go on and on and no one’s life is change, everyone is happy to live in a lie they have no idea of. Life, I guess.
