There's something sobering about crawling out of social media quarantine and finding that everyone suddenly decided to start reblogging your smut art from a year ago.
We're having an IT theme party at my place, and I decided to make red balloon cakepops. Then we realized we didn't have a proper stand, so my husband and I got to work on a little art project.
Cakepops and lineart were done by me, the grate and painting work was done by my husband. :)
Haven't played around with Nevermore in a while - I missed my flame-wreathed raven more than I realized! A little rough, but I might attempt to ink this and finally try out the copic markers I got my hands on. :3

PSA: Commenting on Cosplay
I can't believe this needs to be stated, in this, our year 2019, in the age of #MeToo and #CosplayIsNotConsent.
If you see a cosplayer in what one might deem a "sexier" designed costume, and you want to comment that you like what you see, comment on the craftsmanship of the costume itself, tell me I pulled off the character I'm going for, tell me I'm cute or pretty or my makeup's on point, my wig's styled perfect, that I have eyes like the sea after a storm.
Anything other than making remarks on how large my tits are. It's uncomfortable, degrading, unpoetic, and will get you blocked. And in my case, as a genderfluid person, it also makes me embarrassed to embrace and share my femme side.
I love cosplay, I love sharing my work and progress and everything I'm learning along the way. I want to continue to do so and eventually learn to like how I look. Please don't ruin that for me or for anyone else. Think before you type.

My gaming group started up a new Deadlands campaign! We’re in the traditional post(ish)-Civil War Wild West setting the game is known for, with a bit of a twist. Our characters are all what are known as “witchbreed” - people who were blessed and cursed with insane powers after the Reckoning. Think X-Men of the Old West.
Featured here is my character, Kajika, an Apache teen that’s been kidnapped from his home due to the destructive powers linked to the sound of his voice. His elders had always warned that he had the venom of the Snake upon his tongue, and he has a sworn obligation not to speak unless absolutely necessary. He instead uses Plains Sign Language has his primary means of communication.

Ahh, my Harley Boys - Jared Cooper and Justin Valenti. The Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of Gotham City. My Arkhamverse OCs.
Back when I was playing Arkham City, there were these “Augmented Reality” missions, where you had to do a series of trick flights with your glide and grapple skills gained throughout the course of the game. Fly through rings, jump off buildings at just the right angle, that sort of thing. And there was this one in particular (everyone seems to remember this one as bitterly as I do), where you start Batman at the top of a buzzing neon sign, dive down, swoop into a tunnel, fly allllll the way through, and ultimately land just in front of a train at the end. I kept trying. I kept FAILING. And for some strange reason, I could not stop attempting this challenge. For hours, I kept crashing in into the same damn arch, over and over and over again, and grapple back to the start.
With each attempt, the first grapple would, without fail, trigger the thugs standing on a nearby roof into aggression mode, only to have their “Batman retreated” reactions a mere second later as I ziplined past them.
“HEY it’s the Bat! Get him!” “Yeah, you run away!”
In differing variations. For hours. I kept thinking about how perplexed these poor assholes must have been to just watch Batman from their safe little perch, wondering how many times this disgruntled vigilante was going to smack into that same building and just why he was so intent on doing so. They must have realized that the Dark Knight of Gotham was not exactly the picture of mental health that night.
Thus, Jared and Justin were created. And they just sort of expanded from there, developing personalities, appearing in random points in-between scenes, just before or after Batman makes his appearance. I haven’t thought of these two since Arkham City and I suddenly missed them. I wonder what they were up to in Arkham Knight…
I'm not dead, I swear! Been packing and moving, and we're finally moved into our new apartment. In the shuffle, I came across the original doodle of the aforementioned Arkham City AR scene with Jared and Justin, featuring a faceplanting Batman.
Castle Point Anime Con is coming up fast! My sister and I will be in the dealer’s room/artist’s alley selling handcrafted chainmail jewelry and fandom buttons! These are the base designs for three new Rising of the Shield Hero buttons we’re planning on debuting next weekend.

Wigs are from Arda Wigs and styled by me. The chefs coats we're purchased from The Restaurant Depot and then painted with orange fabric paint. Mezzaluna was a home-build and made with wood, foam, and a lot of paint.
