Peter had just gotten back from his trip around the multiverse finding out that he had been cloned in one and killed in another, really didn’t settle well with him for some reason. He returned home from his trip and closed the door before taking off his mask, when he heard a noise from behind him.

“Peter..? Is that you?” He’s been gone for...a while. She’s been very worried.

“Oh!” He seems startled. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s me anyway.”

“At least I hope it is...” He mumbled to himself.

She goes up to him and cups his cheeks, just looking him over and then hugging him tight. “Oh my god.” She whispers.

He hugs her back, rather confused, but then he realized that time moved differently in the multiverse. What seemed like only a few short hours to him, could be months or even years to others.

“H-how long was I gone for?” He asked.

She whimpers. “T-two years.” She whispers, her voice cracks a little. “We...we thought you were...we thought you were dead.” She whimpers, she buries her face in his neck and cries softly. “I thought you were dead..”

“Hey, no it’s okay, it’s okay,” He sighs trying to be comforting. “I’m here, now, I was just.” He paused thinking of a way to explain it. “I was just in a different universe. It felt like only hours to me...”

She shakes her head. “I couldn’t feel you anymore and Friday couldn’t track you and dad almost died again.” She looks up at him. “What were you doing messing with the multiverse...?”

“I-I didn’t really mean to go messing with the multiverse. They came to me.” He looks around his room. “There’s a burn mark in here somewhere—portal burnt the carpet.”

She frowns a little and just stands there. “What do you mean they?

“Uh-.” Peter pauses trying to think of how to explain the group. “They were um...well there was Gwen, and Miles...a pig...” He trails off. “Oh! There was another me, but he died so..”

She nods slowly and feels his forehead making sure he isn’t running a fever or something. “And you’re sure you ended back up in the right universe?” She asks.

“Pretty sure, anyway. It would suck to have to travel through the Multiverse again.” He makes a face. “It’s horrible, like dumpster pizza horrible.”

“There’s really only one way to tell...” He smiles and walks over to his closet, upon opening it a bunch of stuff just falls out. “Yep, I’m home.”

She laughs weakly and shakes her head. “I missed you...” she says softly and goes over to him, taking his hand. “I really missed you...”

“I bet you’d say that to any Peter.” He joked and smiled. He held her hand and rubbed his thumb over hers. “But I’ve missed you too, it kinda sucked not seeing you everday.”

She pouts at him. “Am I supposed to say you’d say that to any pretty girl?” She asks quietly.

"I was joking.” He said. “I don’t think I say the same to any pretty girl, because I mean you’re not just any pretty girl. You’re like the pretty girl.”

She chews her lip. “I am?” She asks. “I wouldn’t..I wouldn’t say that to any other Peter...just...my peter...” she says and blushes brightly.

He smiles. “I mean, not to brag but the other Peters aren’t as cool as me.” He pasuses. “And you’re also the coolest pretty girl so...it works out.”

She laughs softly. “I think you’re the very coolest Peter...” She blushes brightly, fiddling with his fingers. “So...you think I’m pretty?” She whispers, and looks up at him.

“Of course I do.” He says blushing. “Who doesn’t? You’re like the prettiest girls I know.”

She shakes her head a bit. “You’re just saying that because of my dad.” She says softly.

“I’m not. I don’t think he would like me boredline flirting with his daughter.” He awkwardly chuckles. “Mr. Stark is kinda protective.”

She blushes brightly. “Maybe a little.” She says. “So...you don’t think he’d like you flirting with me?” She whispers and steps closer.

“Hm, yeah I don’t think that he would.” He nods. “He wouldn’t like this at all.”

She nods. “Yeah...you’re probably right.” She puts her hands on his shoulders, then rests them behind his neck. “Probably would hate it even more if you did more than flirt with me...” she whispers.

“Well, we wouldn’t want him to be angry do we?” He whispers backing leaning in closer. “After all, he kinda signs my paychecks.” He laughs. “Not that it matters...”

She hums softly. “Well...I guess you have a choice then. Who do you want to keep happy? Him, or me?” She glances down at his lips and then back up to his eyes. “It’s a pretty important decision..”

The others don’t bring up Steve’s past often because they’re worried it’s a sore subject. But teen Spidey doesn’t have that filter, and is just excited to meet a guy from the 40s. Steve enjoys it - it’s not often he gets reminded of the happy parts of his early life.
