Jesieniara (in Polish) is a person who loves autumn. They will spend their evenings under a blanket with their favourite book or movie, sipping on a warm drink. Wears comfy clothes and oversized warm sweaters, loves colorful leafs!!!!! and rainy days too. Has a pinterest board for autumn vibes.
I love this word! Jesieniara. Now I just have to figure out how to pronounce it properly
Phonetically and syllabically, that’d be close to Ye-sye-nya-ra. It’s derived from the word jesień (ye-syen’), or autumn. There’s also a masculine form jesieniarz (ye-sye-nyash), but it’s less popular.
I think it started off in a mocking manner before it was embraced by autumn lovers, like it happened with the words geek or nerd.
