tumblr isn’t a social media it’s a farmers market and the people you follow are the vendors and your mutuals are regulars and sometimes a person I buy pumpkins from will start selling realistic models of sailboats and damn i’m not gonna buy any but I will come by and compliment you on your sailboats

Sometimes the bakery stall that's been selling top tier muffins and bread for years all of a sudden has an entire table dedicated to moss balls wearing little hats. and the correct response to that is "okay! happy for you!"

This makes sense. I like to go to the farmers market and say hi to all the vendors sometimes.

Martin Freeman as Paul Worsley in the Breeders Season 4 Trailer Ok, I still don't know what to think. But I know it will be heartbreaking again, but also hopeful. (And a little bit funny.) Not sure if we'll get the Happy End I want them to have (aka not divorcing), I just want them to be ok. 😭😭 With the trailer it could go in any direction.

That kiss, tho.... 🤯

Bonus:

I am obligated to reblog this again, because it is now Superwholock, and therefore perfection.

Watson and Holmes have a true crime podcast. Holmes goes off on very boring scientific tangents at least thrice an episode and Watson guides him back on topic with his extremely dry sense of humor. Lestrade is occasionally a guest on the show and Holmes finds new ways to subtly suggest he’s an idiot. Mycroft is in like one show a year and the fans love him because he’s unexpectedly very funny. They ask for more Mycroft episodes and it becomes a running gag that every week Mycroft is in a different obscure location where he cannot he reached. Mrs. Hudson invites herself in and knows a suspicious amount about dismemberment strategy and blood spatter.

Watson: Hello, and welcome back to the show. The elder Holmes will not be consulting on this case as he is still trapped in the catacombs and we have received word he has dropped his phone in a puddle of Parisian sewage. Rotten luck, truly. In other news, our landlady has begun rendering fat for the creation of lye soap, she claims it is lard but we have not seen her bridge club rival in some time. We will certainly come back to that later but now for the more pressing topic.

Holmes: This week we will be discussing the rash of arsenic poisonings occurring in Whitechapel between 1884 and 1887.

Watson: This week we WILL be discussing the rash of arsenic poisonings occurring in Whitechapel between 1884 and 1887, so help us God.

Watson: How have you been since we last spoke, Lestrade.

Lestrade: Well, somewhat vexed. A woman in my jurisdiction received a pair of human ears in the post and my wife has left m-

Holmes: WAIT WAIT, GO BACK!

Watson: EARS?

Holmes: EARS?!?!?!?

They also have a “Toby Tax” which is an agreement that they’ll post a new picture of Toby every time he barks in the background of the podcast.

Toby is a retired cadaver dog that Holmes rescued and Toby occasionally assists him in cases.

this makes me smile every time I read it. I can “hear” the podcast voices, and I’m not even a podcast lover.

That baby.... Luke's? 🙈

@my-johnlockficrecs Omfg?! I knew the actors were gonna be different cause it was mentioned on an article but I thought the ones on the posters were still the other ones somehow… Wow it’s really well casted 😦

ah haha good to know i’m not seeing things 😂 i did not know the actors were going to be different, or if i knew i’ve forgotten it by now. but yes, you’re right, they’ve casted them so well, at least in terms of how similar they look to the original two, that i was genuinely zooming in on every photo and even then i wasn’t sure if they were the same actors or not. i’ll miss the original two i imagine, but i’m sure the new ones will do a great job as well 🤞

[ID: Poem that reads:

TO THE YOUNG WHO WANT TO DIE Sit down. Inhale. Exhale. The gun will wait. The lake will wait. The tall gall in the small seductive vial will wait will wait: will wait a week: will wait through April. You do not have to die this certain day. Death will abide, will pamper your postponement. I assure you death will wait. Death has a lot of time. Death can attend to you tomorrow. Or next week. Death is just down the street; is most obliging neighbor; can meet you any moment. You need not die today. Stay here–through pout or pain or peskyness. Stay here. See what the news is going to be tomorrow. Graves grow no green that you can use. Remember, green’s your color. You are Spring.

The Case of the Iceman’s Heart

a victorian johnlock story

Summary: In the six months since Doctor John Watson came to live at 221B, he has proven to be a great helpmate and tactician when it comes to solving cases and helping the needy. Sherlock Holmes thinks, too, though, that the good doctor was sent to him by some higher power for some grander purpose: to melt his heart.
