***AVATAR: The Way of Water Spoilers***

I noticed that we never see Neteyam hiss (Kiri too if I'm not mistaken but I wanna focus on Neteyam) Hissing is an expression of anger and we always see Neteyam holding back. He has to be calm, collected and a good son/big brother.

But do you know what I want? When he comes back (don't fight me on this - he has to) I want him to go feral because I know he has his mother's rage. And I want him to kill Quaritch just like his mother did before him. I just need him to blow up. It will be spectacular.

So will Lo'ak's blow up when he finds out Spider saved Quaritch.

Me when I first saw Leo as a small child: *huge sparkly eyes* "He's so cool....! I love him, he's my hero!!! Leo is my favorite turtle!!!"
Me currently after getting back into Tmnt and seeing Leo again: *pulls out a long ass list* "Here's all the reasons I love Leonardo and why he's the best turtle and why he's my all time favorite boy in animation. Number one-"

Alright. This is what I’m talking about. I’m not planning to add anything on the original post, but I’ll do it here just to blow off some steam.  Sure, 2012 Splinter never apologized or admitted he’s wrong.

Sure, he never helped boys when they were in danger.

Nope

Not

a

single

time

He also never had to fight his own brainwashed daughter just to save them.

And he never fought alongside them when some serious shit went down.

Because it’s not like his family is the last thing that keeps him sane.

Yes, what a selfish bastard. He dared to die while trying to save his sons.

It’s not like he watched his brother killed his wife, stole his daugher and burned his house down and suffers greatly because of all things he went through; and yet after he was stripped of his humanity as well he still adopted 4 mutant turtles and tried his best at raising them while constantly fighting for their lives. Being a single father whose family is hunted down by the whole world is so easy!

It’s not like they all love each other, right?

I’m right and I should say it.

I’m sick of people who don’t have siblings thinking Raph knocking Mikey overtop the head (they’re the same age btw) is abuse. It’s not like he doesn’t care, or like he emotionally manipulates him. Splinter is another story but then this post would be a couple paragraphs long lol. In all honesty, when tmnt 2012 came out, I though that the turtles’ sibling relationship was the most realistic dynamic I’d ever seen in media (at least compared to my family). It was crazy relatable to see them fight a lot and hit each other sometimes but still care. People calling them abusive honestly makes me sad because they reminded me of my own family. I’ve got 5 siblings. Sure they were pains in the asses sometimes, and I got hit a bunch, but they weren’t abusive. It’s a fine line. Other people have different definitions of abuse; it’s a subjective term, which makes this topic so complicated, but from my point of view, and I’m sure a lot of others, tmnt 2012 did not have an abusive family dynamic
