Our 6th Annual Romanogers Appreciation Week 2021!

The celebration will start from July 22nd (12:01 am EST) to July 25th (11:59 pm EST). On our official appreciation week, everybody is welcome to participate without any exclusive sign-up.

This Appreciation Week is our fandom’s celebration to show our love and support for the ship with all types of fanworks we can make, such as fanfiction, graphics, aesthetics, mood boards, gifsets, fan mixes, fanvids, fanart, etc.

With Black Widow being released soon, we figured we’d host a little something to celebrate our love for Natasha Romanoff. Please consider participating if you’re able! :)

NOTE: There are four prompts to choose from, but you DO NOT have to do all four for the event! You can do as many as you want, although we would like to challenge all participants to do at least two if you have the time. This time around, we also have some bonus prompts! These three bonus prompts can be done for any day of the Romanogers celebration if the other official themes don’t work for you.

We will track the tag #romanogersweek during all the event. So, don’t forget to tag in the first five tracked tags of your post.

Our Romanogers Appreciation Themes are:

July 22nd ~ “Second Chances” An opportunity to try something again.
July 23rd ~ “Enemies to Friends to Lovers” An ever popular trope for an OTP. Two people on opposite sides, who then reach an understanding, and fall in love as they work together to end a conflict.
July 24th ~ “Time Travel” Moving between different points in time.
July 25th ~ “Role Reversal” A situation in which someone adopts a role the reverse of that which they normally assume in relation to someone else, who typically assumes their role in exchange.
Bonus prompts ~ (1) Mile High Club, (2) Family, (3) What If?

All fanworks (fanfiction, fanart, gifsets, graphics, photosets, fan mixes, mood boards, aesthetics, quotes graphics, etc) are allowed and the interpretation of the themes is up for your consideration. Have fun!

When Steve was fifteen the princess of Midguard, Natalia Alianovna Romanova, was kidnapped. Nobody knew what had happened to her, and every search party that had went out to find her returned empty handed. She had never been declared dead, though was never proven to be alive either. The King had stopped the search a year after her disappearance, and left it at that.

Now, nearly a decade later, Steve is a knight, and is sent by Commander Fury to find the lost princess. Though when Steve does, he finds that she has changed, and that she does NOT want to return to her “home”. She convinces him to give her a week, a “week of freedom”, and eventually, he agrees. What happens during that week changes both Steve and Natalia forever.

Amazon Unveils a [Horrifying] Fanfic Publishing Platform

Today, Amazon announced the imminent launch of its newest endeavor, Kindle Worlds, a publishing platform for fanfiction. When I read the announcement, I was horrified, then angry, then sad. I want to take a moment to explain why this is such a tragedy.

This is REALLY IMPORTANT guys. AO3 is so special as a platform. Don’t get suckered in by shiny features or whatever!

If you want to retain rights to your work, don’t use this site. Stick to AO3.
