this is amazing and I'm glad I saw it

i do this when im writing fiction. Each fic has a cut document full of discarded dialogue, scene settings, metaphors etc that dont quite fit yet I might want to use down the line or other fics.

I do this too. At the end of every fic (blocked off from the main by a row of asterisks) are snippets of dialogue, description, exposition, sometimes whole scenes that have been cut or gutted in the hopes that the scraps can be used later or modified into something useful later.

I also have a separate spare parts file for general ideas that don't have a home at all - rando thoughts, concepts, prompt lines, etc.

I find it useful. Maybe you will too?

The Eurovision team really said “We’re going to destroy what little good will we have left with the general public to ensure that a country that isn’t even a part of Europe wins.” Huh?

I am from the northern Gaza Strip. When the war started on October 7, 2023, shells began to fall and the sounds of bombing filled the sky.

My family and I were hiding in the house, afraid to go out because of the intense shelling.

After days, they started threatening us with eviction from our house, so we were forced to flee from place to place, finally reaching Rafah in search of shelter and medicine for my elderly parents, but to no avail.

The harsh conditions and polluted environment have caused our health to deteriorate and we have lost weight.

My father's factory and office were destroyed, and we now have no shelter or source of livelihood.

We need your help and support to save our lives from this never-ending disaster, as we live on day 216 of hunger, death, and homelessness.

Reminder when the IOF killed Shireen, a journalist, on duty, wearing the press vest, and the attacked the funeral and beat up her mourners who were trying desperately not to drop her coffin.

Reminder that Shireen was christian. None of this was about Muslims vs Jews

Reminder that none of this madness started on Oct 7th. Israel always targeted the press to cover the truth.

Israel keeps pushing Palestinians into "safe zones" and then bombing those safe zones. How much more evidence do you need to understand that this is a genocide? How many more of Israel's lies are you going to believe?

CNN has leaked images from Israeli torture camp, Sde Teiman, in the Negev desert, where whistleblowers have revealed that Palestinians abducted from Gaza are being systematically tortured.

Captives are subject to forced amputations, physical assault, force-feeding, humiliation and harassment, and it is unknown how many Palestinians have already been tortured to death in captivity.

At the same time as this is being exposed, Israeli soldiers are exposing THEMSELVES by circulating images of their war crimes online and gloating about their sick exploits. Three of the attached images come from Israeli soldiers and show Palestinians captured from Khan Younis a few weeks ago. Notice how their hands are zip-tied, just like the hands of the men, women and children - even babies - found in the seven mass graves discovered underneath Gaza's destroyed hospitals.

The systematic torture of Palestinians is nothing new. All we're seeing in Gaza is an acceleration in the types of crimes that Palestinians have already been enduring for decades under occupation. Every global human rights organisation has been reporting this for decades.

Time to see occupation for what it is.

I don’t think we’ve put it enough into perspective.

Rafah is 48 times smaller than Rhode Island. Israel is forcing millions of Gazans into Rafah and trapping them all to bomb them. Keep speaking, keep telling others, keep protesting, do not turn your back on them! It is imperative we keep it up!

The fact that so many folks don't seem to want to come to terms with the fact that Eurovision cracking down on Palestine flags and any Palestinian imagery is politically motivated is kinda wild.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. General Assembly voted by a wide margin on Friday to grant new "rights and privileges" to Palestine and called on the Security Council to favorably reconsider its request to become the 194th member of the United Nations.

The 193-member world body approved the Arab and Palestinian sponsored resolution by a vote of 143-9 with 25 abstentions.

The United States vetoed a widely backed council resolution on April 18 that would have paved the way for full United Nations membership for Palestine, a goal the Palestinians have long sought and Israel has worked to prevent.

U.S. deputy ambassador Robert Wood made clear on Thursday that the Biden administration opposed the assembly resolution. The United States was among the nine countries voting against it, along with Israel.
