They had gone to great lengths to make sure they weren't found by the angels or demons in their universe and once they had left their universe they thought they were safe but here they were face to face with an angel their first night. "Hello brother." Alfie, the angel formerly known as Samandriel, says swallowing the lump in his throat. "What... uh... brings you to this nightclub?"

He was quite unaware of how absolutly ridiculous he looked in his weiner hut uniform in a nightclub.

The uniform made him stand out for sure. Lucifer had spotted him the moment he walked in. And it wasn't just the clothes, but the way he carried himself.

He could sense the Celestial nature of his guest, but he did not recognize the face. Up close, he could see the nervous sweat. The slight tremble of nerves desperately being suppressed.

"I own this nightclub," he gestured with his hand, "Come, sit with me, brother. We may talk more freely over there.

Samandriel swallowed thickly as he slowly followed Lucifer over to the booth in the corner. His mind was racing and him and his vessel were internally talking in panicked voices.

An angel who owns a nightclub, what sort of thing was this? Who was this one, what sort of trouble had they stumbled into.

"I... I didn't come here to cause trouble, we can go if you don't want us here... " he says nervously sitting on the outer edge of the seat

"Relax, relax. You are my guest here," he gestured and a waitress appeared. She already knew his order and looked at Alfie expectantly. As soon as he ordered, she would be off to get their drinks.

"Now, I don't recognize you, brother, and that says a lot. Who are you exactly?" he leaned in.

"Uh... a um... whiskey" he says not really knowing what to order as neither him nor Alfie had ever had a drink

"I um... my name is Alfie" he says his voice squeeking slightly "Or um... Samandriel actually but i prefer my vessels name, Alfie... we're from another universe" he says "um... I don't exactly know who you are either" he says

"Another universe? Interesting," he leaned back slightly, taking that in, "Well, Alfie, I am Lucifer Morningstar. Now, don't panic," he waved a hand, gesturing, "Sit down, sit down. I'm not going to hurt you. I give my word."

Alfie stiffened at that and took a deep breath as he looked at the other. In his universe Lucifer was the fallen angel, the enemy of heaven and considering that he was no longer exactly welcomed in heaven he did wonder how exactly the other had fallen, was it really as bad as all of his siblings said.

He shifted uncomfortably in his seat the waitress setting a drink in front of him. "How... How do I know your not lying? " he asks one hand on his blade the other trembling as he took his drink and took a sip only to cough as it went down burning his throat. He set it back down his eyes watering as he coughed

Lucifer slid over a glass of water he had the waitress bring, knowing that this brother of his must never had tasted alcohol before.

"Why would I have the need to lie? It makes things much more complicated. You have to remember which story you told who. Its just much easier to tell the truth," he took a sip of his own drink, "Point of pride for me, in fact. I don't lie."

Alfie grabbed the glass of water and gulped some down still coughing and sputtering as he did.

"I don't know... I just.. you do in my universe... of course in my universe your... not running a night club" he says. It didn't seem like Lucifer was lying but he also wasn't very good at telling when people were lying.

He wiped the tears away from his eyes. "We've only been in this universe for a few hours but it's clearly very different from home" he says

Lucifer calmly slid some napkins across the table, wiping a few spots that had landed on his side with his own cloth.

"Yes. You are clearly not in your own universe. Everything works differently here. I run a nightclub and you....come from a hot dog stand of sorts...why are you wearing that?" he gestured

Alfie took the napkins wiping his face and cleaning up the water on his tie and shirt.

"This...." he looks down. "It's just what my vessel was wearing when I possessed him, we never really thought about changing it" he says as he adjust the pin with their name on it.

"Alfie... my vessel Alfie used to work at Weiner hut. " he shrugs

Lucifer wrinkled his nose, "You are wearing a human? That is allowed in your universe? Why do you not have a corporeal form of your own?" He looked slightly sickened at the thought.

"yeah of course... you... aren't?" he asks confused

"No... my true form would burn out the eyes of most humans... Alfie consented though... "

His eyes flashed blue as the human took control. "I did consent... and I like having Alfie with me... we've become very close almost like...."

His eyes flashed blue again the angel taking control "Like we're one person working together now"

"This body was made for me and me alone. I'm the only one piloting it," he wrinkled his nose, "That...whole arrangement. It just seems so..."

He shuddered, "Only demons have ever taken over human bodies...and only then dead ones. And it is strictly forbidden," his eyes glowed a deep red briefly.

"Demons poseess people in our world too... but they don't need permission like angels do" he says

"I don't know... it's nice... I got really lonely after i fell and Alfie was there for me... I couldn't imagine being without him"

"It doesn't seem right," he shook his head, "Crammed in there with him," he took a sip of his drink, "But I guess...different universe...different rules," Lucifer shrugged, setting his glass down.

"Don't you get lonely... I mean... I assume that your fallen in this universe too... even if your much less... angry and terrifying" he says "Or do you have someone special?" he asks sipping on his water his eyes flashing

"Why do people drink alcohol... I mean that... was... really bad, tasted like burning" he says frowning as he poke. "I know being drunk is apparently fun but if you have to drink that to get there is it really worth it?"

"I have grown fond of the taste of certain styles of alcohol. I can't really get drunk off of it, but it does give a nice warm feeling," Lucifer smiled, watching the waitress bring him a fresh glass and some more water for Alfie.

"I'm not lonely here. I've got several humans here that I've grown rather fond of," his eyes lit up slightly.

"yeah I think I'll just stick to water and soda" he says shaking his head as he takes the water thanking the glass and sipping it.

"Really? the Lucifer in my universe hates humanity... it's pretty surprising to hear you say your close to several human" he says sighing a little bit.

"Hate them? How could I hate them? I fought for them. For the right to have free will. To choose their lives outside of Father's whims," Lucifer leaned forward, examining Alfie, "I Fell for humanity. And I was punished by having to punish them in turn. To see the most foul of them in Hell. Their sin and guilt. Those little imperfections that wouldn't allow them into Heaven."

Alfie frowns looking down "That's not who you were in my universe" he says sighing a little bit and fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. "you uh tried to destroy humanity... twisted them into the first demons... that's why father locked you in the deepist parts of hell" he says looking up.

"I guess your pretty different here" he says "the lucifer in my universe probably would have just snapped his fingers and killed me on the spot... or tortured me until I joined him" he says rubbing the scars on his forhead without thinking

"That is not who I am here. You have no fear of torture from me, Alfie," his tone was gentle and soft, "Do you have a place to stay here? I have spare rooms."

He eyed those scars and felt a pang within him. To do something like that to one's brother....just because they disagreed. He had the blood of one brother on his hands...he couldn't imagine having more. And he regretted Uriel's death every day.

Hansel plopped down in a seat at the bar. He'd just finished hunting down the witch he had jumped time lines to follow and now he needed to get back to his own time somehow... that was a problem for tomorrow though. The bouncer had pointed him out to both Maize and Lucifer because he'd been quite reluctant to give up the large shot gun he'd tried to come in with and once he agreed to give it and his other weapons up because he wasn't allowed in with them he'd emptied a small armory off his person. He ordered a shot of whiskey and a beer and was making eyes at a few of the girls nearby.

Avatar

Maze was over seeing the small collection of weapons now sitting in their check-in booth, so it was up to him to see to their newcomer. It wasn't too difficult to spot him. He stuck out clearly at the bar.

Lucifer dropped into the seat next to the stranger. The bartender slid a glass to him with a nod.

"So, what exactly brings you here?" he asked smoothly, eyes never leaving the strange man.

Avatar

Lucifer looked thoughtful and then nodded, "I'll put some feelers out. See what I can find," he stood up, going back to his private bar to refill his glass

"Well uh suppose I'll be around." he says "Thanks again for the help I don't think I've actually ever felt this clean" he says with a laugh as he follows Lucifer over to the bar. "Maybe a few of the girls downstairs will be interested now"

"What shall you be doing for work now that you have decided to stay in this time?" Lucifer asked, "Not too many witches that need taking care of here."

Adam and Michael had been jumping universes for a while now and when they got to this universe it didn't take them long to hear about the Devil running a nightclub. So now here they were sipping a drink at the bar and scanning the floor for anything remotely angelic when they noticed Lucifer heading their way.

Michael's jaw clenched and his eyes hardened, "You have no idea."

He then cleared his throat, "Amenadiel is the eldest and the majority goes to him. If Father steps down, it is expected that Amenadiel shall assume His mantle."

"I know what it's like to fight with a brother I love" he says "To even be ready to kill him." he says

"I know what it is to have unfair burdens placed on my shoulders... things that should never have been my responsibility... and I know what it is to be loyal to a father who isn't loyal back"

"And now... here... for the first time since before the earth was created I know what it is to be happy and loved"

"Yes, yes, what a happy revelation you have had. A nice universe to kick back and enjoy a relaxing vacation. Now, go along, Michael. Enjoy earth and its humans. Leave the politics and running of Heaven to those of us who belong here."

"Boss said you would be back down," the bartender set a glass down in front of Hansel, "He said so long as you remembered to keep your hands to yourself, you are welcome to his hospitality."

He left Hansel to tend to the other patrons waiting for their drinks.

"uh thanks" he says taking the drink. "I'm the handsy type" he says taking a sip "Do I look like the sort of guy who doesn't respect women or something because I'm getting that a lot lately" he says

He looked around for Lucifer wanting to thank the man occationally filrting with a woman here or there a few of them even flirting back now that he was cleaned up but he wasn't interested in more than that tonight too curious about his benefactor.

The bartender shrugged, "Just passing on the message," he said, going about his duties. He went to a phone after a while, nodding. When he returned to Hansel, he jerked his thumb to the elevator, "Boss is back and says you can go up if you would like. Penthouse suite. Top button. Can't miss it."

Hansel nods "Thanks" he says tossing him a coin as a tip before heading to the elevator and heading up to the penthouse. He stepped out looking around. "Hey... thank you for the cloths and the room." he says sipping his beer as he looks around "well this is fancy" he says

"You are welcome," Lucifer looked up from the piano, setting his drink down upon the lid as he turned, eyeing Hansel.

"So what brings you here, to this time and place?"

"Was hunting a witch" he says as he heads over to the piano "She killed four childreen then opened a portal here, I jumped in after her... my sister got left behind" he says shrugging a little bit

"Caught her right as she was luring three kids from some sort of big school " he says taking a long drink "She gave me a run for my money that's for sure, I look like a pin cushion under these cloths" he says with a laugh

His expression had darkened. A witch. They usually knew to stay out of trouble. And kids were definitely off limits.

"I must then thank you for taking care of that...problem," he grimaced. Humans would have panicked. And then there would be a heap more trouble to clean up.

"Well rightfully so... I mean I don't have kids but if I did I would do everything I could to protect them from harm" he says "But uh... now you understand the weapons yeah?"

"You have kids?" he asks taking another sip of his beer and sitting down.

"No, goodness no. I'm not that careless. I don't know what to do around kids," he shook his head, taking a deep draught from his glass.

"But I know that people would panic and cause a ruckus if one was injured or killed."

He smiles a bit "yeah I don't really know how to handle kids either" he says shrugging a bit "I mean I can handle one for a little bit" he says shrugging a little bit "but I wouldn't want one of my own" he says taking another drink of his beer.

"but that's my job, protect kids, get rid of the witches that hurt them"

"Not a job anyone would undertake lightly, and I doubt you receive very little in the way of thanks. But it is a job worth doing to protect others."

Lucifer topped off Hansel's drink, "Cheers."

"yeah... as long as someone pays the bill I'll keep doing it... probably do some even when they don't pay me" he says shrugging a little bit.

He raises the glass. "Cheers" he says taking another sip of it.

"Sounds like my deals. Many people think I want their souls. I'm not interested in such a thing. All i ask is a favor in turn, at the time of my choosing. Sometimes, I never have to call upon that favor...other times, it is instant."

"So are witches... do they tend to be only light witches left in this time? because if so I might be out of a job.... don't really have a way to get back to my time" he says sighing a little bit

"There aren't really too many outwardly practicing witches. Sure, some that dabble in the old arts, but they tend to keep themselves rather under the radar." Lucifer tilted his head, fingers tapping the side of his glass in thought, "There may be a way to get you back to your time."

"yeah?" he asks looking over at him. "and what if I don't want to? I mean..... I kind of like running water and air conditioning and... even the beer taste better here" he says shaking his head

"Just a moment before you were bemoaning the fact you might not be able to go home," Lucifer leaned forward.

"I mean... ok I miss home, I mean i miss my sister." he says "but on the other hand... " he sighs a bit "any chance we could just bring my sister here?" he asks "Cause that would actually be the perfect solution"

Lucifer thought about it, "It would be more difficult to bring someone from another universe to a foreign one. Easier to send something, or someone, back to a universe more familiar to themselves."

"Oh it's the same universe just different time" he says "I mean the witches spell brought me here " he says shrugging a little bit "maybe we can find a friendly witch that can do the same" he says

"There are a only a few I would trust with such magic...fewer still that would actually do it without asking for a substantial price. Or a fate load of questions I don't really want to answer."

A Night in LUXury | OPEN

Lux was bustling tonight. Well, it was always bustling. But tonight felt...different.

Luci milled around, catching a conversation here or there from one of his usual patrons. He caught the eye of his bartenders every so often, using subtle nods or gestures to convey things were going okay.

He smiled to himself, sliding into his personal booth. It gave him a good view of the bar and main room without too many people being able to spot him right off. He lounged, sipping at his drink, eyes scanning the gathered people.

Humanity. Oh so interesting. So...full of ideas and fun little things.

He leaned forward, eyes tracking a newcomer.

Now, what was this?

Lucifer shook his head slightly, "I am not ready to talk about that. Not yet."

A small shiver ran down his back and he stepped away from the balcony, moving both of them back into the penthouse proper.

Juliet frowned. “Well I’m here if you need to talk about it,” she said. She let him guide her back into the penthouse. “So how did you get involved with the LAPD?” She asked.

"There was this woman...her name was Delilah. She used to work for me at LUX...she sang. She desired to be a famous singer, so I made connections...and she bloomed. But....she made poor choices...and wound up getting shot outside of LUX one night after visiting. The LAPD sent a detective...Chloe Decker, to investigate. I found her...interesting. And it all went from there."

Juliet listened intently before frowning. “I’m sorry she died,” he said. “Does Chloe know? Who you are?” Or rather did she even believe him?

"Chloe knows, yes," he nodded, "It took her a long while to believe...and then when she figured it out...well...it didn't go well for a time. I was afraid that I had lost her..."

“You love her,” Juliet said very softly. Suddenly she felt guilty for every advance she’d made in the last hour. “Or at least you like her a lot.”

"She...was the first person that treated me like just another person. She is very steadfast in her own beliefs and seeks justice no matter what gets in her way," he looked down, "Yes....I do find that...I do love her."

“Don’t let me kiss you again,” she teased softly. “Have you told her? That you love her? Because it feels like you might be happier if you do. And it seems like you deserve to be happy.”

"I just...havent' really found the right way...or the time...or the right moment..." he blushed ever so slightly, stammering over his words.

“You know, there probably won’t be a time that feels right or perfect. You should just do it. Invite her to the club. Tell her how you feel,” she said. “I can’t believe I’m giving you dating advice. You’re like a magnet. It’s impressive she hasn’t through herself at you yet.”

"Well....about that..." he rubbed his head, "There is a reason she is resistant to my charms..."

Lucifer cleared his throat, looking embarrassed, "Apparently Father made her for me."

Adam and Michael had been jumping universes for a while now and when they got to this universe it didn't take them long to hear about the Devil running a nightclub. So now here they were sipping a drink at the bar and scanning the floor for anything remotely angelic when they noticed Lucifer heading their way.

Lucifer looked a bit awkward, holding his drink, watching this brother from another universe tearing up. He set the drink down and patted Michael's shoulder.

Michael looks over and hugs Lucifer tightly. "Hey at least I have you" he says taking a deep breath.

"I'm sorry" He says pulling away and smoothing Lucifers suit. "I just..... the family was my responsibility when my father left and I suppose the argument with Michael made me just... remember how much I such at taking care of you all"

"It shouldn't have had to be your responsibility, Michael. Taking care of a host of angels...it shouldn't have to rest on your shoulders."

Michael frowns a little bit. "Should or shouldn't have doesn't matter... it was my responsibility and I screwed it up because I was so obsessed with what father wanted... and now... here I'm... useless can't even get the me from here to listen"

He snorted, "I doubt anyone but Dad could get Michael to listen. Maybe Amenadiel, with a bit of persuasion, but no one else," Lucifer leaned back with a sigh, "He is quite stubborn and full of himself."

Michael sighs a little bit "yeah... been there... Adam is the only one who got me to listen... finally" he says shaking his head a little bit. Michael hung around for a few more hours before he left.

-----------

It was a few days later that Michael appeared back up in heaven easily finding Michael. "I feel like we got off on the wrong foot the other day" he says

Lucifer sat with him, talking about other things, until Michael excused himself and left. He sighed, leaning back in his seat. He sent a quick text to Amenadiel, having this feeling Michael would try to talk to his twin once again.

"Back again, brother?" he tilted his head

"Like I said.... I feel like we got off on the wrong foot... I was assuming that you were... just like me and not trying to get to know you" he says "Can we try again?"

"I fear that you have spent way too long on earth, brother. It has tainted your mind," Michael clasped his hands, a dejected look on his face

"I haven't spent that much time on earth, spent much more time trapped in the deepest pit hell in my universe.... that is what changed me... and I think for the better" he says "And in my universe... heaven fell apart in my absence"

His eyes narrowed, "How in our Father's name did you wind up trapped in Hell? And if your Heaven fell apart...where was your Father? Why was there no structure? To hinge on one Archangel," he hugged.

"Well I was going to fight you and my vessels brother threw me and my Lucifer into the cage in hell... we were stuck there for about 10 years.... I had seen dad for at least 2000 years before. Raphael tried to take charge and restart the apocolypse but Castiel and the winchesters. My vessels brothers... they disliked the idea having spent the last year trying to stop it so Castiel rebelled and took over heaven.... fairly complicated" he says shrugging "big civil war, I would say it worse than when you rebelled... and that was just the start of it"

"Restart the apocalypse?" he looked aghast at the thought, "Castiel is a name I recognize. Seems they are quite different between our universes," Michael looked at the other, tapping his chin thoughfully.

"Yes.... it does seem that way" he says nodding a little bit "Cas is... a rarity among angels... a free thinker and a true beliver in humanity" he says

"But yes restart the apocalypse so me and Lucifer would fight on earth, probably destroying most of it"

"No wonder you left your universe. Seems so messy and chaotic. No clear person in charge," Michael shook his head.

"I was supposed to be in charge... and I failed... I just made everyone suffer" he says with a sigh looking up at the him from this universe "I loved my Lucifer and I was ready to kill him because I thought that was what dad wanted... but after all was set and done eventually I learned the truth, my dad didn't care... about any of us, he just used us... as entertainment" he says shaking his head

"An Archangel alone does not have the power to keep Heaven running," Michael again shook his head, just simply aghast.

"Well I did for nearly 2000 years... maybe archangels here aren't that powerful but I am" He says with a slight glare.

"I didn't fail because i didn't have enough power, I failed because I didn't use it like i should have" he says

Michael stood up straighter, or as straight as he could, glaring, "Authority and power. If our siblings do not recognize our authority, our power weakens."

Avatar

The uniform made him stand out for sure. Lucifer had spotted him the moment he walked in. And it wasn't just the clothes, but the way he carried himself.

He could sense the Celestial nature of his guest, but he did not recognize the face. Up close, he could see the nervous sweat. The slight tremble of nerves desperately being suppressed.

"I own this nightclub," he gestured with his hand, "Come, sit with me, brother. We may talk more freely over there.

'Over there' being a secluded booth.

"I own this nightclub," he gestured with his hand, "Come, sit with me, brother. We may talk more freely over there.

'Over there' being a secluded booth.
