I wish we could do polls on Tumblr.

In lieu of an official poll, like for Dear Evan Hansen and reblog for Great Comet.

Anatole is hot, he spends his money on women and wine 🍷

I know he’s awful, but his character’s entrance in “The Opera” got me into this musical. My only regret is not listening to it earlier

“We wanted the casting to reflect “what does 21st century America look like?” in the same way that Tolstoy was like “what does 19th century Russia look like?” And 21st century America is beautifully diverse, so we wanted a beautifully diverse cast.”

But from the moment she heard “No One Else,” Natasha’s lovestruck aria, Benton clicked with the role. “She has this incredible vitality for life, she feels things so deeply. I thought, She’s just as dramatic and romantic as I was—or am, to be honest. Who wouldn’t want to be the romantic lead chased by all these men, and in furs and corsets, you know? I was like, Natasha: I get you, girl!”
