Something More
Ayato glanced away awkwardly, not really sure what could be said in response to this. He wasn’t really used to small-talk or sentimental chatter. Aogiri Members weren’t the type for such things really, and Ayato got used to growing up without talking deeply about anything.
“Uh…it’s alright…” The young man replied, turning to face the desk again, expecting the conversation to be over at that point. Kaneki’s presence made him nervous, though he wasn’t sure why. He sighed a little as he pulled out the book he tried to hide.
“Trying…it’s taking me ages…” He seemed frustrated, more-so at his lack of reading intelligence than anything else. As Kaneki turned to leave, Ayato turned his body to face the other once more.
“Oi, hang on…” He said rather quickly, to ensure Kaneki heard. “I need to ask you a favour.”
