The thing I wanna talk about in relation to this fanbase mess is how Black men weaponize “the culture” against Black women. A BW raises a legitimate critique, and instead of addressing it, the conversation pivots to questioning her loyalty to Blackness. As soon as Baby Shaft realized he couldn’t answer @chescaleigh question, he dug through her digital archives to exploit her decade-old marriage to a white man. Yall did the same shit to Anita Hill. tried to position her as a race traitor. 🧵 In the 90s, Anita Hill, a Black woman, testified that Thomas had sexually harassed her when they worked together. Instead of supporting her, many Black people (especially Black men) rallied behind him. The media narrative became that Hill was betraying a Black man’s success. People called her a pawn for white interests. Something something buying NBC. They made her integrity, her motives, and even her personal life the focus … just like Isaac Hayes pt 3 tried to do yesterday. 2/4 But once Thomas was confirmed, what did he do? He spent decades on the Supreme Court gutting policies that protected Black people. Those same men who defended him didn’t keep that same energy when he sided with conservatives against Black communities. That’s the pattern: Black men will rally behind another Black man just long enough to dispose of the Black woman challenging him … only to be left with a 🥷🏾 who does nothing for them in the end. 3/4 This is why I don’t take these performances of “protecting Blackness” seriously. Because more often than not, it’s not about protecting us. It’s about protecting their own unchecked power, even at the expense of the very people who fight for them the most. That’s why I have been simping for white men because unlike most black men and white women they don’t backstab black women regardless if they’re good or bad they’re real with it . If I was in the woods with a black guy, a white girl and a white guy I would feel more safer with the white guy like women feel safer around bears than any man . Miss me w that MLM bullshit. /fin.
Simone Zimmerman in Israelism
I have said it before, I will say it again, and I will continue saying it: ICE needs to be abolished. Not reformed, not re-trained. ICE needs to be abolished.
Contrary to what Joe Biden said, ICE is the mf problem, and there is no reforming it.
As we are seeing, the agency is not in “safe hands” under a Democratic administration, and it damn sure ain’t in safe hands under the fascistic Trump administration.
There is no amount of “reforming” or “re-training” that will fix ICE’s carceral culture, where civil liberties violations and other atrocities have existed and been allowed to thrive.
ICE NEEDS TO BE ABOLISHED.
