can't believe there are still people out here in the year 2023 that genuinely think aang should have killed ozai
"even avatar yangchen said—" that's not the POINT, the point is that aang is the LAST airbender the LAST air nomad the LAST person following these teachings, the point is that if he breaks his vows the air nomads will truly die out with him, forever. the point is that the monks taught him all life is sacred and even if ozai is a piece of shit who everyone agrees deserves to die, aang refuses to let ozai force him to give up the last thing he has of his people, their lessons, refuses to let ozai wipe the last air nomad from the earth and finish what his horrible family started. the point is that aang beats ozai because his spirit is unbendable, the point is that he takes the man whose ancestors set his on fire and robs him of the ability to hurt anyone ever again, the point is that the Fire Lord ends the fight kneeling before the Last Air Nomad and THAT is the ending aang deserved
the comedy gold gag where someone is asked for something extremely specific, and goes like "god damn it why would I- Do I look like the kind of a guy who would just have 48 ferret harnesses laying around?" and then everyone blankly stares at them because now that you mentioned it, yes, indeed they do. As a matter of fact, that is the most perfect description of this man, one that nobody could have come up with, but which is exact enough for anyone to pick him out of a crowd. The more exact, the better.
And after this pause they'll just give up and groan "ugh, fine. I'll go get the harnesses."
I've never watched Scott Pilgrim but I'm reading about this animated Netflix series and apparently one of the reasons they were able to get the whole cast of the 2010 movie to reprise their roles is bc Michael Cera fucking responded to a 9 year old cast email thread out of nowhere as if no time had passed and got the cast all chatting with each other again
you people will reblog anything
voiced it <3
my toxic trait is being fervently convinced that if i ever came across a dragon irl we would make eye contact and understand each other at a primal level of transcendental trust instead of charring me into a crispy onion

Someone recommended 194/10/1, 19/7/10, 146/13/3 to me & I just powered through it. Absolutely lovely; I've never read anything like it before (the format with the letters back and forth). I wasnt sure what to think at first - how can you create any kind of relationship through notes? (so I thought) Despite them not meeting face to face until the end it was completely engaging & I thoroughly enjoyed the characters & plot. You're so talented & I do hope you still enjoy writing from time to time!
thank you so much 😳 writing is v v hard right now, but my passion is slowly pushing the embers out to the woods

the group chat giving me some ideas today.
Zuko was having a crisis for three weeks after joining the Gaang, because he realizes a) Katara, Aang and Sokka could have and would have easily murdered him had they been about 5% more emotionally unstable and b) he had stopped actively trying to capture the Avatar right before the person who had no such qualms about murder, Toph, joined their team.
Obsessed with the old lady in the store I overheard say, "Well, you know me. I can't resist a gnome"
