Yew (Part 1)

Rating: Teen And Up Audiences  Relationship: Male Centaur/Male Centaur  Additional Tags: Exophilia, Centaurs, MLM Content Warnings: Amputee, Amputated Leg, Prosthetics Series: Part 12 of Monster Lovers: Shelter Forest  Words:  4,101

Yew finally gets his own fic! Yew makes his very first rescue: a surly centaur dumped on the side of the road. Please reblog and leave feedback!

Ethari was losing his vision rapidly. He hadn’t eaten in days, the fever was taking over his entire body, and the blood loss had rendered him extremely frail. The ranch hands had dropped him on the side of the road somewhere, but he wasn’t sure where. He kept trying to stand, but in his delirium, he forgot that his left foreleg up to the knee was now missing and unable to take any weight, so he continuously stumbled and fell into the mud of the roadside.

He fell for a final time, completely sapped of strength, and as he was losing consciousness, he heard a voice call out.

The reader's mother from Akjan's fic and her orc hubby get their own fic! After her daughter is taken away from her to be married to an orc chieftain she's never met, Margaret worries she'll never see her again. An orc arrives with news of her daughter and promises to help them reunite. Please leave feedback!

Your daughter had been gone for two months already. The count had ripped her from your arms in an instant on the day of her eighteenth birthday and gave you little to no time to say goodbye. You could only hope that she was well and being treated properly wherever she was, but you had no way to know for sure. You were anxious constantly, unaware if she was healthy or fed properly or even alive, but the idea that she could be somewhere out there, safe and happy, was the only comfort you found in your day to day life.

I introduced the reader's mother, Margaret, in Akjan's fic, and she married Rourke. Would anyone be interested in reading their love story? I've been wanting to do more older readers/romances.

Growing Pains (Centaur Dads)

Rating: General Audiences Additional Tags: Adoption, Gay Dads, Exophilia, Centaurs, Kids Series: Part 17 of Shelter Forest: The Towns Words: 2,068

When their son comes home from school upset, two centaurs must figure out how to have The Big Talk about what adoption means. Please reblog and leave feedback!

Rollie stalked through the front door with his head down and dropped his writing board by the hall tree. Without bothering to say anything to his fathers, he immediately went to his room, not quite slamming the door but certainly shutting it with more force than normal. Beyram, a Rahvan centaur, and Alphons, a Haflinger centaur, looked at each other in concern and made their way through the open layout of their cottage, knocking on their son’s door. Rollie was a bright, happy eight-year-old child, so for him to be silent and brooding was wildly out of character.

“Rollie?” Beyram asked. “Everything alright?”

You really fed us when you made akjan. Huge, compassionate, caring, smart, (good at cunnilingus). He is everything the girls need.

He really is, I do love him a lot.

Thanks for reading!

look i know i am preaching to the choir as the saying goes but these 'water is wet' studies as i have seen them called is to prove a point not everyone believes.

like i have met people who think being suicidal is an inherent part of being trans and don't know how the numbers decrease from gender-affirming care HELL even didn't know the numbers dropped so much just from getting basic affirming care.

rarely is research done for a pointless reason, not everyone is gonna know this stuff even those who are involved in the LGBTQ+ community and spend time working with LGBTQ+ youth ( i don't work with youth per se but the volunteer work i do with pride has me in spaces with them).

like yes i know the joke here but i think this type of response isn't the best to research being done on our side.

Studies like this are being cited in court cases against gender-affirming care bans as we speak. Remember, the argument behind those laws is that gender-affirming care is harmful to children in the long term, both physically and psychologically, and that this justifies interfering in private citizens' healthcare decisions. We need as many studies as we can get showing the opposite if we want those laws to be struck down permanently.

NEVER laugh at something that formalized and catalogues a generally accepted fact in your community, because it could be a rock solid protection in the future.

As a researcher who's occasionally involved in doing this kind of research (not for queer stuff, for disability stuff, though there's obviously overlap)

Don't laugh is, unfortunately, unrealistic. Sometimes it's laugh to keep from screaming. Don't cry is also unrealistic (laughing isn't always enough). People in group chats with me (and sometimes one on one DMs) can attest to my Very Regular frustrations.

But 'Aim the frustration, derision, etc... at the fact that the literature & current practices are fucked enough that we need those studies'? That I will get behind all day.

“Sweet Dreams”

Martin Gregus captured a once in a lifetime moment of a Polar Bear sleeping on a bed of fireweed.

Churchill, Manitoba, Canada

This is it, this is the best photo ever taken

Agreed that that is one of the top tier photos of all time but you cannot deny this is a close contender
