D‘Artagnan‘s emotions at the end got to me, okay? Also I love that Aramis is a „hold my flower“ kinda person.

Athos has been the most stoic, unemotional man to ever live and then he suddenly hits d'Artagnan with:

I'm going to need a moment

I am falling very hard for Aramis in this adaptation

It’s possible that I’m addicted to drawing Porthos’ stupid handsome smile.

Wherein Athos proves once more that he can lean on absolutely anything, including empty air.

I sure wish I could achieve some consistency in my drawing. I have no idea how cartoonists and illustrators do it.

Athos: They’ll hang you! And then they’ll hang me for letting it happen!

Aramis: More chance we’ll be killed here and take it with us to the grave.

Athos: That’s a comfort.

Aramis: So, you’re good?

Athos: Yeah.

I feel like I’m getting better at achieving different expressions on my humans, although it’s not usually the expression I was initially aiming for.

This is sort of a ‘mildly concerned about the situation’ face and it was supposed to be an ‘everyone appears to be dead, so I’m guessing we’re safe now?’ face.

It’s Captain Treville, and Athos to the rescue! Or maybe it’s an escape! When there’s that many people shooting at you it’s hard to tell if you can successfully call it a rescue, or if you’re really just fleeing for your lives.

Also, I don’t think that is Roger the horse. I think Athos just jumped on a random horse, but I don’t know enough about horses to tell them apart.

This is just smudgy pencil, but I think it does a good job of conveying how astoundingly fluffy Athos’ hair is. 

I think the first time they met him Aramis and Porthos just wanted to pet it, and so they followed him around, despite his grumpy protest, until they could achieve friend status and pat Athos on the head.
