I think it would be funny if someone who was Completely oblivious to world events in the one piece world rocked up next to the strawhats and squinted at their flag and was like 'YOU'RE the ones that painted the whale!!' I just think that's an underrated piece of the strawhat notoriety. Like the entrance to the grandline? That everyone who can't/doesn't cross the calm belt uses?
