current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.

someone brought a cake analysis robot to feed the cake into to determine the exact ingredients and supposedly it can spit out the exact same cake. and if you're like dude. what. then they're like well if it bothers you you should have made more cake. i'm hungry and i deserve cake. and you're like dude we're at a party.

okay how do I explain this to you. "calories" is the part of food that makes it food. you actually need calories to stay alive. so "low-calorie" is the opposite of a selling point. kind of makes it sound like I'm going to be putting in a lot of time and effort just to not be nourished

okay hang on tight because this is a tough one. I'm going to try to explain the concept of "addition" to you. so the broccoli has a certain amount of calories, vitamins, and other nutrients in it, right? and the cheese has a certain amount of calories, vitamins, and other nutrients in it. and when you add the cheese to the broccoli, well... the nutrition of the resulting food can be found by adding the contents of both of its components to each other. I hope this helps

Hello, SteveTony citizens! The Cap-IM Big Bang has been part of our comm and fandom tradition since its inception in 2008. That's almost 20 years! In recent years, though, our participation has dwindled to near-endangerment and we're currently thinking about new ways to restructure and rekindle the event. Longfic is such an important part of our fannish ecosystem and we really want to continue to do everything we can to foster the creation of new longform SteveTony works!
