You are my lie. That’s my lie. What’s yours?
reminder: I have another illustration project on patreon.
A Virgo once told me I can be as sad as I want just make sure I’m still doing things and that has changed the way I view everything. I’m like it’s fine that I’m sad right now but let me go be sad at hot yoga and be sad while I’m taking my vitamins and be sad while I’m learning ceramics and while I’m completing my tasks. This might sound like depressing but for me it’s so elevating. Bc I know in like, December for example I will be able to look at how much I’ve expanded myself n it won’t matter that I was sad in August because sadness doesn’t stick. It’s what u do that shapes your life. And I kept doing things. And I shaped my life

It’s hard to be just one thing and not another. Occasionally we become someone else, and that’s okay too.
when Lemony Snicket wrote “I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I see you everyday” that hurt me
Full paragraph hurts even more.
“ (…) I will love you as we find ourselves farther and farther from one another, where once we were so close… I will love you until your face is fogged by distant memory. I will love you no matter where you go and who you see, I will love you if you don’t marry me. I will love you if you marry someone else and I will love you if you never marry at all, and spend your years wishing you had married me after all. That is how I will love you even as the world goes on its wicked way.”
[Drawing of a rabbit holding a cup of tea with a caption that says “I have no clue how close I am to reaching my goals, but I’m enjoying dreaming, working to get there, talking to you about it, and staying caffeinated along the way.”]
If you love The Little Prince then you might need one of these awesome levitating bonsai trees that remind us of his tiny asteroid home. A group of Kyushu, Japan-based designers called Hoshinchu just launched a Kickstarter campaign to create these enchanting bonsai plants called “Air Bonsai” that appear to levitate above their beautiful porcelain bases.
The plants are called “little stars” and the handcrafted base is an “energy base.” Both contain built-in magnets that enable the plant to levitate and spin above the base..
Head over to the Air Bonsai Kickstarter page to learn more about this delightful project and the different models available to contributors.

I actually don’t need much in my life, but I need one or two or tree of these.
“She was good at waiting. That seemed like a sad thing to be good at.”
— Ann Brashares
I remember first learning that you can cry from any emotion, that emotions are chemical levels in your brain and your body is constantly trying to maintain equilibrium. so if one emotion sky rockets, that chemical becomes flagged and signals the tear duct to open as an exit to release that emotion packaged neatly within a tear. Everything made sense after learning that. That sudden stability of your emotions after crying. How crying is often accompanied by the inability to feel any other emotion in that precise moment. And it is especially beautiful knowing that it is even possible to experience so much beauty or love or happiness that your body literally can’t hold on to all of it. So what I’ve learned is that crying signifies that you are feeling as much as humanely possible and that is living to the fullest extent. So keep feeling and cry often and as much as needed
SHIT WHAT
Also let yourself cry. It really is a biochemical release valve to dump out all the chemicals that make you feel stuff.
I honestly think one reason men in western culture have so many problems is that we don’t let them cry, and literally their brains get stuffed with all this crap that doesn’t have a release valve. Men, please cry. You’ll feel better. It’s ok. You are not lesser for taking care of your health.
This is why tears from different emotions look different under an electron microscope. They’re literally made up of different things.
Happy tears are structurally different than sad tears than angry tears than overwhelmed tears etc.
I looked it up, cuz that tidbit was dope to me and..
Never would have known
Ah yes, the emotions: grief, change, onion, humor
Those images come from an interesting article through Smithsonian! They were taken by photographer Rose-Lynn Fisher around 2013.
The article does touch on the three different types of scientifically recognized tears as well! Psychic tears triggered by extreme emotions, basal tears to keep your cornea lubricated, and reflex tears due to irritation (like onion vapors). That being said, I need to cry more.
After someone opens up to me and they think it’s my turn
