Abandoned

@creepyabandonedplaces-blog / creepyabandonedplaces-blog.tumblr.com

Hey welcome to my blog! I'm just a girl who is OBSESSED with abandoned/creepy places and decided to make a blog about them! I'm originally from New Jersey and I love the Weird NJ books and the mysterious creepy stories in my home state. Which also inspired me to start this blog. I do not take ANY credit for the pictures on here unless stated otherwise. I'd love to see your pictures and read your stories so please submit! Hope you enjoy :)

Fun Park Fyn Funen, Denmark 1980-2006

Fun Park Fyn, a small amusement park, was opened during the 1980’s. It offered mostly water slides and a few small motorized rides. Admission was relatively cheap due to the goal being to make it a family friendly park. Unfortunately in 2006, the park closed because the owner went bankrupt.

The park was bought by new investors in 2008 who planned to refurbish and reopen the park. Rumors were that Fun Park Fyn would re-open as a “Hans Christian Andersen Park”. The park sits abandoned and deteriorating to this day.

Dadipark Abandoned Amusement Park Dadizele, Belgium 1950-2002

Originally, Dadipark was built as a simple playground for children by a local pastor and eventually evolved into an independent theme park in 1980.  The theme park was very successful for quite some time, entertaining a million guests during its peak year.

Unfortunately, things started to take a turn for the worse as the increasingly rundown rides became more dangerous.  In 2000, a young boy lost his arm on the Nautic Jet ride (Entrance of ride pictured top right). Sadly in 2002, the park closed down for “renovations and the park was abandoned, never to reopen.

Hey guys!

I know I’ve been MIA lately, but I’m feeling inspired tonight and decided to begin some research on some new places.

Stand by for some new posts!

As always, thank you so much for following my blog, stay golden :)

xoxo Melissa

Seeker Stories is a new Discovery Digital Network dedicated to the spirit of adventure and the pursuit of wonder. Abandonment Issues in one web series, living on Seekernetwork.com and youtube.com/c/seekerstories.

In this episode, we explore the abandoned ruins of the Bayshore Train Yard in California. With help from San Francisco Train Inc, a historical preservation non-profit, we got access to walk around and fly our drone, covering its last remaining building from every angle.

I think the Creepy Abandoned Places audience would love this episode and series in general and would love for you to share it with them! Please reach out to jmurrell@discoverydn.com with any questions or to talk more!

Thank you.

MANDY THE HAUNTED DOLL

Mandy is a porcelain baby doll made in England or Germany between 1910 and 1920 and donated to the Quesnel Museum in British Columbia in 1991. Mandy’s donor had said she would hear crying in the middle of the night coming from the basement, and it wasn’t until after she gave Mandy away that the crying ceased.

DOLL CAM

Just recently made a post about this, but it’s where you can go and view a live stream of haunted dolls all gathered together in one house! Try and see if you find any suspicious activity. Here’s the post

DEMONIC DOLL

You probably recognize this from the Conjuring. It’s based on a true story. A couple of girls noticed strange activity in the doll. They would come home and find it in a different place than where they put it. Soon notes began to appear from nowhere, saying “MISS ME” and “PLEASE HELP”.

Soon the doll’s activities began to be more sinister and mediums were called and confirmed it was a demon hosting the doll’s body.
