one week ago, my very first fully storyboarded episode of Puppy Dog Pals aired on TV!!
i drew these boards over a year ago and it's surreal to see them fully rendered and animated in 3D. and not just in a few select shots per episode like when i was a revisionist, but through out the ENTIRE episode.
i'm having a hard time putting what i'm feeling into words. how do you describe achieving a goal/dream you've had basically your whole life? everything i've been through, the crippling depression, the overwhelming anxiety, the (very) late diagnosis of ADHD, the seven years of school, all the failures, all the luck, all the support, all the time- it was all worth it.
and the best part is that this is just the beginning. i've been lucky enough to be working on Puppy Dog Pals for the past 3+ years. i've been a storyboard artist for a little over one of those years with about 8 episodes under my belt so far. The next episode I worked on airs in late September. i don't think it's been officially announced yet so i don't think i can give any more detail than that haha.
thanks for all the support everyone, and extra thanks to Liz Seidman for sending me that first email back in 2015 and taking a chance on this anxious recent college grad. ❤️
