the blood in roses world exists in the time where Rocket ships have either existed or have been written about in fiction, because Jack knows what one is in the route from S1 where he draws one in ketchup. 

Microphones have been around since the early 1900′s, so if we wanted to keep it set in old times, then we could pretend it’s in the 1920′s-30′s if you want it to be believable
