Hey, whump community! I have made my triumphant return! I’m so freaking relieved that I was able to get my username back, I was starting to miss it!

For those of you who know me, you know that I had a couple of historical series going when I had to delete the first incarnation of this blog. I debated letting those just stay as they were, but ultimately I couldn’t let those stories die without an ending. I did lose some small pieces, but I have all the major ones, so it’s not a huge problem. My series-es Thrall and Gamble, as well as my Wisteria one-shot, will be reposted and continued here. (I would repost Piper’s Lists too, but I lost those in the incident, unfortunately. I may try to remake them. Edit: I’ve gotten back the medieval torture list!)

This is not my main whump blog, just so you all know. (Although I am considering moving back here…I miss my username.) I’ll be plenty active on here, but right now it’s primarily for reposting and continuing my old series-es. I want to especially point out that THERE WILL BE NO PERSONAL POSTING on this blog. No rants, vents, or what-have-you. In case this blog gets found again, I want to make it very clear that this time around, there’s nothing on here that will get me into trouble.

I’ll start reposting my old writing on March 20th! I can’t wait to get back to work on these stories!

Gamble Picrew!

I actually completely forgot I made these until today! I love Picrews, I am fully addicted to them. I actually have two sets for this story, but I still need to track down one of them. This one was the first one I did, way back when I posted the intro piece to Gamble. I used this picrew here, which doesn’t have actual historical clothing options. So I improvised. It looks pretty good, I think, except for the two Knights, Sir Robert and Sir Myles- just pretend their gray shirts/sweaters are armor😂

One last thing that’s been bugging me for awhile: while I didn’t change most of the Picrews from their first incarnation, I did slightly alter Sir Myles’ hair. It was bothering me that I gave him a perfectly straight ponytail. Hair straighteners didn’t exist in the Middle Ages to my knowledge, and Sir Myles is my first Black character. I want to do him right. So I’ve changed his hairstyle to something that sits better with me. (And I think it looks better, too.)

Back at it again with the last few reposted pieces of this series! From here I’m moving into my shorter pieces, the ones I wrote for challenges or asks. This was a piece I wrote for the 2021 Summer of Whump challenge! I sadly don’t have many prompt fills from that event- I think in the end I was only able to recover four. And we’re back! I’m still a little sick, but feeling good enough to repost! I’m hoping to finish reposting by the end of May and start posting new things in June!

This was by far the most popular post on the old incarnation of this blog. It was super fun for me to do- I got to just infodump about history and whump! I’m going to be really happy to see this post make the rounds again, hopefully finding its way to some new people too!

Gamble Part 3

This is the last full piece I’ve written for this series! The rest of the reposts will be primarily Summer of Whump prompt fills- I only have four of them- and two very short flashback pieces I wrote for an ask game. After that, we’re all caught up!

This was my Halloween special piece, taking the Irish holiday of Samhain and working it into the story. It’s also my very first flash-over to what Devin’s family is up to in Ireland. I had SO much fun with this piece!

I do not remember what the actual title of this piece was originally, so it’s gotten a relaunch. I also need to point out again that the story told in here is not original- it’s an Irish legend that has about fifty different versions. I simply rewrote the story in my own words. This piece serves as a direct sequel to Feiring, and is part of the same arc.

I was supposed to be doing finals today and instead I wrote two thousand words of Gamble. And not even the next new piece, a random piece for in the future that I just had inspiration for.

Ah, I remember writing this in the back of a car while my sister took a left turn like a NASCAR driver in a church parking lot. Three-way driving lessons = writing time but also unpredictable speed changes and turns.
