[ 15.5.17 ] - the spread which has guided me through revision so far
I discovered Bullet Journal about a month ago. I was just watching videos on youtube and this one video has just inspired me to make one bullet journal. I did start one. But it turns out this ‘bujo’ isn’t really for me. (I plan to print a bunch of printable planners available here on studyblr and insert it in a binder later) However, while I was searching for more inspirations, I found this idea. The idea of an artsy/creative journal. I just started this journal today. I cut out old magazines; the fashion and photography section. Some motivational notes I’ve made myself (I’m thinking of posting it here) and the typical list to buy. It wasn’t that creative, but I’ll try improve from time to time.
Hiya, I just wanted to say I'm really glad my annotation post helped you! I never thought it would get as much traffic as it did, s being mentioned on a masterpost of helpful resources is pretty darn awesome. :) Have a good day/night/afternoon!!
for me, it is very helpful when annotating the textbook, since i like learning from the textbooks. thank you!! you too have a nice day/night/afternoon mate :)

{How To Start A Digital Bullet Journal}
Before I start explaining how to write a digital bujo. I have to say thank you to the lovely @sushi-studies because of you I get to know GoodNotes so I can start writing xoxo
☞Tools
I’m using iPad Pro 9.7-inch and Apple Pencil. I never used other brand’s stylus before so I’m sorry I can’t suggest or compare the stylus for you.
☞Apps
-GoodNotes 4
This is the app I’m using to write my bujo. The GoodNotes app is actually a simple note taking app. You can create lots of different notebooks for yourself. It has different kinds of style of papers that you can choose. It give you a feeling like you’re writing on a notebook but just a digital one. -Photoshop Mix -Procreate
☞Why I Love Digital Bujo
No need to bring lots of things in my bag anymore!!! Before I have my digital bujo, I need to bring lots of things in my bag (my bujo, pencil case, stickers, tapes…) Plus if I want to add some pictures on my bujo. I need to go find a printer to print it out first and then stick on. It just waste me lots of money and time on it. Lots of tree die, too. But after I go with digital, everything just perfect♡♡ Although the feeling of writing on the real paper and writing on a tablet is different. But I love it so far!
☞How I set my digital bujo
My setting is just like everyone else. For example, I start a monthly calendar to start a new month. Habit tracking and then weekly planner. My weekly planner change every time when I start a new week. I keep trying new setting when I see someone’s awesome post on tumblr! All the lovely posts give me lots of inspiration.
♛I guess that’s it! Not sure about what else do you guys want to know. And there’s nothing else I can think of to share with y'all right now.
If there’s anything you want to know, ask ask ask! I won’t bite :) Even if you’re too shy then just be one of my nonny ♡ xoxo
hi lovelies!
i’ve been getting a lot of messages about my bullet journal and how i make it so today i’m here to explain the whole process! first of all i was inspired by @jellybujo and @effyxlabujo - make sure to check them out! lets get started! here is an overview of my bullet journal so far:
1. what materials do you use?
i use my ipad mini and a stylus for my bullet journal but you don’t necessarily need a stylus! it makes it easier but it isn’t necessary!
2. what apps/websites do you use?
for my actualy bullet journal i use the app goodnotes 4, it’s on the app store for $7.99, it is quite pricey for an app but it does a really good job. i have tried others like notability ($8.99), penultimate (free) and pages ($9.99) and i prefer goodnotes much more!
unfortunately, goodnotes doesn’t have the option to make tables or draw shapes so i use the pages app to make things like my timetable and habit tracker, as well as making the boxes i use to write my tasks on my weekly spreads.
the website i use to make my collages (front cover, titles, weekly spreads) is called polyvore and basically it has a bunch of different images you can choose from (as well as import your own), different effects, coloured boxes, text, overlays, etc.
3. how do you make your bullet journal?
- front cover/monthly pages
for my front cover i used polyvore and i basically just added a magazine article and some other black and white images and then over it i placed a picture of myself as well as some glitter and confetti overlays.
- legend/timetable/habit tracker
for the titles, i used polyvore again and followed the same process as above – black and white images, coloured block, title, overlays. other than that i just make tables for my habits and schedule and write my legend using emojis and coloured circles!
- weekly spreads
finally, my weekly spreads are basically just a bunch of random images and doodles that i put together in colour schemes for it to look pretty! just be creative and create whatever you want! after that i add 6 boxes (i divide my week in all the weekdays and then the weekend) and that’s where i write my tasks!
- monthly spreads
i got these printable pages from www.lilamiller.me!
4. anymore questions? be sure to send me a message!
i’m always available to help anyone with questions about my bullet journal! thank you guys for reading and i hope this helps you to make your own!
love, maria x
11-1-2016 // New month, new week, new spread! I really like sticking pictures in my bullet journal and using my Crayola Supertips to add some colour :) Not sure what I’m gonna do with the empty space on the right page, maybe another picture or a nice quote.
I’ve already said it, but still - it’s amazing! 😃😊

- Making friends is always good so send your fav studyblrs a polite ask to introduce yourself - If a studyblr replies to you publicly, you’ll get a promo to all their followers. How do I post original content??
- reblog don’t repost!! This is an obvious one but if you’re new to tumblr altogether you need to know that it’s never ok to steal someone else’s content. Also don’t reblog from weheartit because all the stuff on that website it stolen!!
- the most common posts on studyblr are photos of notes - it’s a good idea to make sure the colours in your photo are aesthetically pleasing, and that you have a good source of light. Natural light is best but lamplight will work as well. If your photos need more light, increase the exposure on your camera/phone. People don’t need to see the whole of your notes, try taking photos of them from different angles to show off the bits you’re most proud of! more tips in this post
- share some motivational quotes - I use picmonkey to design quotes
- make a masterpost of your favourite resources
- make a study playlist on 8tracks and share it on your blog
- tagging is the most useful thing ever - tag your posts with #studyblr and #studyspo so that other people in the community can find you! More tags = more ways for people to find you, so make sure to add plenty of tags to everything you upload. If you tag a studyblr in your post, it’s likely they’ll reblog it.
- open your ask box - it’s a great way to get suggestions for new posts, and its always lovely to hear from other studyblrs in the community
Welcome to the studyblr community, good luck with your studies!

1. Creating a studyblr:
CHOOSING AN URL
- The best you can is to get it somehow related with studying, productivity, success, etc.! But please, don’t feel pressure to do so! You can honestly choose whatever you want and like!
- Loads of people use [their name]studies/studying or [something you adore]studies/studying
- Loads of other people also somehow use Hermione Granger’s reference
- Loads of another people use deformed forms of ‘studyblr’ or 'studying’, etc.
- Loads of different people use references of their favourite stationery/drinks/artists/famous people, etc., that are related to knowledge and education
GRAPHIC ESSENTIALS
- Some people prefer photos and some graphics, as header and icons, and it’s completely okay!

- Don’t feel a pressure to make your icon a selfie or flawless graphic!
- Lots of studyblrs doesn’t have it related with studying and education! As I said, the decision is up to you!

2. My blog is all set-up. What do I do now?
INTRO POST
- Lots of blogs start their “path” with an intro post
- You can introduce yourself by saying things that you’re comfortable with!
- It’s also common to list subjects or courses you’re taking

- Reblogging is the fastest way to share anything you like and that inspire you, and you’ll also get to know lot of people!
- You can reblog whatever you want to, it doesn’t have to be studyspo and motivational quotes 24/7
- Study-related-content-posts are photos of studyspace, stationery, notes, etc., motivational quotes, study music, masterposts, printables…
- REBLOG, DON’T REPOST - so, for the people who don’t know what that means, please note that reposting is saving somebody else’s picture/text/masterpost and then posting it and claiming it as yours - reblogging is basically when you click the 'reblog’ button on Tumblr, so it will appear at your blog
- Don’t remove captions when you reblog, because it’s part of what owner of the picture posted and it’s rude to do that!
ORIGINAL POSTS
- You can post whatever you want to!
- It can be text post where you rant about your day!
- It can be masterpost!
- It can be photo of you studying, your notes, etc.!
- It can be a study playlist + another one!

- When you post original posts lot of people can find you and follow you, so that will definitely help!
- Be nice to people!
- Keep your blog active (I also recommend to use queue, that will be running nonstop, so your tumblr will be always active!)
- I think that’s it! As I said, being yourself is completely only thing that you need.
4. What is that cute stationery and where can I find it?
