Most who still don’t get it forget his sub stand Epitaph let’s diavolo see into the future so it goes

“Since I’m immune to the effects of time erasing I get the advantage of being able to reposition myself into a more advantages position, and no one else will notice”
And the reasons Bruno saw himself was because he happened to be in the right time and place to see the exact moment time got erased and he saw his alternate self the exact moment the timeline folded into itself. It’s like when you edit a cut in a video and if you pause it at exact moment you see the scene dissolving into the next and it appears as though there’s two of the same actors on screen.
But the issue is that he uses king crimson in the metalica fight to dodge bullets and make them hit the guy behind him which is inconsistent
He was inbetween Aerosmith and Risotto, Risotto was planning to direct fire at Diavolo regardless of the fact he would also get hit; however, Diavolo skipped the part where he gets shot and leaves only the part where Risotto gets hit
One of diavolos catchphrases is “only the results matter” that’s because he’s not stopping things from happening, he’s getting rid of the inbetween.
Going back to the video editing analogy, if your filming someone dancing and they trip and fall, but they get up again and continue to dance, you can edit out the part where they fall, and to someone watching the video, even if the cut is really obvious, they would have no way of knowing what happened inbetween, and if the dancer and editor don’t tell anyone, no one will know what really happened so it would be as though they never fell at all
In this case diavolo is the dancer and king crimson is the editor (also epitaph is the editing timeline) and his opponents are the people watching the video, diavolo can get rid of the parts that don’t work out for him, and since he is altering reality and he’s the one in control of the time erasing, he becomes immune to everything that happenes, but since not everyone else is using king crimson they can’t control what happens in the erased time unlike diavolo.
Also in keeping with the analogy, Gold Experience Reqiuem is like hitting the ten seconds back replay button over and over again, and since diavolo would mess with time, it put him in a loop of his edits
So it’s like if Gold Experience found the original cut of the dance, only keeps the part where he falls, and turns that part into of him falling into a gif(and I don’t know adds some explosion effects just because).
Essentially Diavolo is stuck in a looping “epic fail compilation” of himself.
