Azion, character motif! This character of mine comes from a concept called L.O.Re. Azion is one of the main characters, and is a Fiend reborn after being killed in his teenage years by a shady and disturbing adult who happened to be a cannibal and befriended him while he ran away from an orphanage. In L.O.Re. there exists many types of Magic, such as elemental magic (Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Gravity, Etc.) which manifests within the person using it and is tied to their personality. However, there is also "stronger" magic used to resurrect those who have died for another purpose. Once reborn, people will become one of the following: Fiends--Generally people who have sinned while human, Spirits--People who were benevolent while human Fiends specialize in Blood Magic, which consists of manipulation of limbs that were lost in order to help them in combat, blood limb regeneration, numbness to pain in limbs that were brought back, healing factor, etc. Spirits specialize in Soul Magic, which consists of projections that one can create in order to assist them in combat, spirit limb regeneration, numbness to pain in areas that were brought back, healing factor, etc. I thought it'd be nice to give insight on why Azion has so many arms behind him.
My unofficial mascot for DeviantArt at the moment, Raimundo! There's a lot I could say about the character now, but I'll hold off on it for now. I guess the most important thing is he's from this idea I had called T.I.M.E., which is about a superhero who's the clone of the villain, and the road to him and his friends becoming the best heroes they can be. Raimundo is the "main-main" character I usually like to say, since a lot of the characters are important with their own problems to overcome as well. I've been practicing drawing this guy over the years and I'm just this year finally getting to how I want him to look. I was actually looking through my first sketchbook and looking back at just how often I would draw characters for T.I.M.E. I could see the improvement over the years. Still, I'm if I gonna have to draw them a thousand more times if I ever want this idea to come true in the future!
Keaton The Inkanoid! I've had the idea of this character for years now, he's heavily inspired by the Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter games. I think a lot of my cartoon character concepts are though, honestly. He's called an Inkanoid because, well, the markings on his skin. They aren't really tattoos though, just birthmarks. Just like the two series he's inspired by, he also has a little 'sidekick' (hate that word for describing the little guys) whose face I have drawn, but I'm conceptualizing his body in my brain thingy. His name's Tain. Keaton & Tain! So just like I did for Adande, Keaton deserves his own little Biography: "As a child, Keaton The Inkanoid was a street urchin on his planet with little food, but big dreams. An adventurer at heart, Keaton was never afraid of anything, and always made it his goal to explore those terrains which no one dare tread! One day while wandering around a city, Keaton had seen a set of TV's for sale and playing on those Televisions were other people--Heroes who would save lives, kick butt, and explore entire worlds while doing it! From that point on Keaton knew that he wanted to be a hero just like those on his "Saturday Morning Tunes," and see more than just one planet for the rest of his life. Years later a still benevolent--albeit slightly mischievous--Adande made it his goal to sneak aboard the Mothership of other Heroes when a big fight broke out near his location. This is only the beginning of Keaton's big adventure..."
Just a few facial expressions for my character Adande. I think I’m going to dedicate an entire sketchbook to working on art for my ‘Enter The Spokyverse’ idea; even though this isn’t a sketch (but hey, it started out as one!) I’ve also started writing the script for Spookyverse, and I’m hoping to have it completed by the end of the Summer. I’m currently on Chapter 2/30. Maybe I’ll share the Prologue and first Chapter when I’m done. Either way, I wanna improve any creative skills in my free time!
On a side note, I’ve got a couple more Figure Drawings I’ll upload as soon as I can get some good lighting around me. And a decent Camera...
P.S. Unfortunately, being back home means no more scanning art for a while...
Just A Little Motivation!
To whoever's reading (or listening?): I want you to know that you can do anything! I believe you can--because I believe in you! In this world you will come across people who will look down on you--they will tell you what you can and can't achieve, and some will even personally try to stop. After running into these people several times, you might actually start to think the same way they feel. Sometimes it's not the people who're holding you back, but just the circumstances. And this seems to be happening to me a lot lately. But don't be discouraged! Just because you're not taking the same route for your dreams to come true, that doesn't mean they're never going to happen. You've just got to take a different route. And sure it might be hard to do so, but if you succeed; more appropriately when you succeed, that sure'll be one hell of a story to tell! When it comes to the people; the ones who tell you how badly they only think you're going to fail--It's up to you to prove them wrong. I always had that mindset--deep down, some part of me enjoys proving people wrong, especially when it's something I really care about! Sometimes that mentality can be a bad reason to do a good thing, but in the end you'll have just one more good thing to say about yourself!
If It Can Be Imagined, It Can Be Done!
I’m usually not the type of guy to talk about serious matters to the general public, but remembering I made this graphic makes me want to elaborate on it a bit. Today’s topic; Self-Harm and Suicide.
Sometimes when I see people asking what others think about suicide, I’d always a group of people saying “People who commit suicide are Cowards.” I never really understood hate people when they say that. Personally to me, those people are oblivious. It takes a lot of physical strength to inflict pain on oneself if you actually try. But I’m not promoting this...No, I always just found suicide a little pointless. Everyone is capable of great things, and the hard truth to life, which is made especially obvious nowadays, is that people are born with advantages and disadvantages. But with enough effort, and just hanging in there you can do anything. Believe in yourself even when no one else does and please seek guidance/assistance/help whenever you can! No human is a waste; No human is useless!
Take Care And ‘Til Next Time!
“People love to complain. It doesn’t matter who’s listening.” - I forget.
Update: More Art Coming in The Future! Thanks to anyone who’s following me! It means a lot to me! Also my previous got removed for being labelled as porn Lol. I think I’m going to work on a script for my Spookyverse idea over the summer as well, I’ve been getting a bit rusty in other areas besides drawing.
As of this weekend my first Year of College is done!
This was my first time using the Animation Lab. And it’s not drawings, but it still felt worth sharing!
Another character from an idea of mine called BlackRock Survivor! Being a fan of Red vs. Blue, this character was actually really inspired by the season 12 villain of the same name.
New: Wow, didn’t know I could link my Tumblr and DeviantArt together, kind of. That makes things easier!
A drawing of my friend 'K' from my Figure Drawing class. Originally we only had 20 minutes to draw one another, and she did me a lot of justice in her piece, so I felt kinda shitty when all I had was a sketch of her in 20 minutes. That's why I stayed an extra 2 hours and finalized it! She had to leave before it was finished, and I had to draw from memory. You guy'll get to see it before she does--unless she has a DeviantArt, that is--but I hope she likes it!
Adande The Woodling!
This character was conceptualized for one of my future Video Game/Flash Game ideas called "Enter The Spookyverse". Don't let the name and lighthearted look of Adande fool you, the idea itself can is a very gritty and scary one. Originally I wanted to make Spookyverse a Newgrounds Flash game series like Reemus or Small Favor (Episodic Wise), but now I think I'm going to make it my first official big project after I get a Drawing Tablet and Animation Software! In the mean time I can at least shed some light on Adande and 'his' past:
"When he was a baby, Adande was part of a bigger tribe of Monsters known as 'Woodlings' which were in fact a lot more peaceful than most other Monsters of the Spookyverse. Unfortunately, Adande was the sole survivor of his race when a war between Humans and Monsters broke out--this was caused by Dirge, The God Of Dealmaking, who sided with the Monsters and chose to merge both the Humans and Monster worlds together with the hopes of ruling both. The Woodlings sided with the Humans to preserve the lives of their newly found friends, and both Woodlings and Human were either cursed or massacred in the process, but not before sealing away Dirge from the world he so very desired..."
"Adande now lives in a secluded part of the woods, where his once fellow Woodlings were turned into wood as a reminder of his loneliness. Claiming a tree large enough to reside in--though it's very uncomfortable--Adande is very afraid both what remains of the outside world and in the world at night. That is, until he's forced on an adventure that will change either change him for the better or leave him for dead..."
For the original secret boss, Reptile is a pretty underrated character in my opinion.
Scorpion on the the other is given too much credit--Ever notice how he wins all the fights in the trailers, but gets his shit pushed in during the actual story?
Who's Controlling Who?
Character I created for one of my future Show ideas; Black Rock Survivor. And in the event that I ever have a chance to make this a concrete idea in some years, Scourge would one of the major antagonists. Until then, I'll keep the idea a mystery...
Also, I think I could make Comic Book Art now after doing this one.
"GREAT! ...But You Missed _ Boxes!" Back In The Day Gaming Was Hard!
I drew this about two years ago honestly, but I finally recently decided to color it. I don't read a lot of comics, especially not the Marvel or DC ones, but Venom would have to be my favorite childhood Super Villain at least.
