Do you ever write down a story that has a lot of characters and when you introduce them to the audience halfway or in the climax of said story, you realize "Oh shit, I forgot to give them something to do!" So you have to write more stuff down in the middle of the story, because so much is happening all at once, or it it just me?

The greatest problem I face as a smut writer is getting the goddamn positions right. I'm over here changing an entire thing in my fic because I can't figure out how to make couch sex work in this scenario smh

maybe i should abandon my complicated fantasy novel and write a historical romance book instead. i'm having a lot more fun with that genre and it's much easier–i don't have to come up with the lore myself.
