Akemi: Sorry, kiddo. I do... Sort of. Well, I suppose I’m more... property. I have to be here. I uh... actually belong to your older counterpart.
child!Subaru: Hah! Right.. Sure.
Akemi: Enough of this. Come on, mini Suby. I’m gonna introduce you to the beautiful world of video games. Ayato’s playing basketball so I can snag his PS4 for a couple of hours. [Grabs his arm.]
child!Subaru: [Thinks.] Why is this human being nice to me? What a pointless thing to do.
What would you do if Subaru was gone one day? Died or otherwise?
Akemi: I don’t know.... Thinking about it kinda hurts. I don’t think he’d ever leave me at the mercy of the vultures voluntarily. If he was forced to go somewhere without saying a word, I guess I’d go looking for him. If he died... I don’t know. I suspect I’d probably die shortly after that since I wouldn’t have a purpose here anymore and they’re not likely to keep dead weight around. [Mutters.] ... And I wouldn’t want to be here without him anyway.
It's probably both. Akemi loves dem boots, which do prop up the ass. But, her tops have a tendency to slide off the shoulder a little too much and show cleavage. So... Subaru gets the best of both worlds.
Akemi: .... [Looks at her reflection in the mirror.] Uhh... My jumper doesn’t show cleavage.... It shows bra strap. The only time you get cleavage is when someone decides it’s necessary to rip my shirt. [Shuffles off, rather self conscious now.]
Subaru: [Snickers.]
