Even though Georgine is the "lesser" antagonist of the story, she's so much cooler and more interesting than the Fake!Lanzenaves tbh. I've only read up to p5v9 (not a prepubber) so maybe I'll change my mind when I actually get to read more of their POVs, but from the snippets I'm seeing I doubt that'll be the case. Tollkuehnheit's legacy of audacity has clearly survived the generations.

Out of all of the antagonist POVs we've gotten in this series, Georgine's epilogue is by far the most enjoyable for me. Her backstory is interesting, of course, but I think the fact that she respects her opponents makes me far more invested in her scheming.

This is mostly the vibe I've gotten from the Raublut/Gervasio visiting Solange chapter and some p5v10 discussions, but they seem to view Ferdinand and their other obstacles like insects. Which makes sense for their characters, but doesn't necessarily interest me.

Then compare that to Georgine. She doesn't respect Sylvester as a person, but she acknowledges that he's not someone she can take lightly. Like she sees this guy as an incompetent loser, but she still treads carefully. Then there's Ferdinand and Bonifatius, who she seems to respect both as people and as opponents. Honestly her biggest mistake is not accounting for Rozemyne, but not even Ferdinand or her closest allies could do that, so can you really blame her for that?

Also it's just really funny that, despite being on the receiving end of multiple of some of her most awful schemes, Rozemyne and Ferdinand are still like "damn, you gotta give it to her she's good at this shit"

hey char! what do you think phil meant when he said "as long as you're not being too weird" when he talked about rpf and being "shipped with another youtuber" ?

it seems like his take on rpf is that if people specifically say don't, then don't (which, considering what he graciously went through for years as a public figure, i can understand the viewpoint), but otherwise, it's pretty much fine, with a few caveats.

now he doesn't specifically say, but based off our history with dnp, the line would be:

  • insisting/assuming fic is real
  • shoving fic in their/their families' faces
  • it's hard to say his actual opinion on some of the very graphic/disturbing crackfic that happened in our community, cause both he and dan reference specific ones when making jokes. any concrete thoughts on that would be pure speculation on my part.

beyond that, i think there's not a lot that would phase him. he truly has seen it all throughout the years. if you're a writer, i hope you're not too stressed. i don't think any of our writers are doing anything even close to 'over the line'. dnp have been good at respecting our writing space and we've generally been good about respecting them back (especially these last many years i wouldnt say theres been anything 'bad')

this is just my take on it!
