“You gotta build a volcano or something? Oh – we should do that even if it’s not for your project. Build a life size volcano in the backyard and set it off. Wow, we’re really going to get arrested soon if I don’t stop thinking of all this shit.”
“no brett, no volcanos.” he cracked a smile. he raised an eyebrow growing a bit concerned, “bro, relax yeah? no volcano’s or anything. just some lame presentation.”
Alec nodded. He didn’t know if Dante considered Freshman to be crappy, but Alec sort of did. He didn’t feel bad about it either, because they could be really annoying. “I feel like Freshman care a lot more than upper class man,” Alec said, with a knowing laugh, “I can’t find the motivation to care half the time.”
“oh no they do. like it’s ridiculous. like relax you have four more years.”
“i think they’re awesome. i usually bribe my other members to do it for me.”
“yeah in that sense they’re fine, whatever. but when the people are annoying and anal retentive than it’s annoying.”
“i really couldn’t agree more,” she said, patting his shoulder sympathetically, “what’s the project on?”
“i don’t even know. some kind of disorder i think. all i know is that the presentation is complete.”
“If you did most of the work just go back the day your project is due and put your name all over it.”
“yes well maybe tell them that because they don’t seem to get it.”
“hey now, you don’t know if they’re virgins. but you are the most adorable little grouch ever.” faith laughed as she sat up. she looked over at him and glared. “don’t sass me. have you tried chamomile tea? that might help if you haven’t.”
“they probably are. i mean with how serious they’re acting. they seem to think this project could make or break them and i’m just like you clearly haven’t done finals yet.” he raised an eyebrow and looked up at her. “tea? do i look like a tea guy to you?” he asked.
faith laughed as she shook her head “oh come on, it wouldn’t kill you to give them a small smile.” her eyebrows furrowed at his words. “have you tried taking zzzquil? that might help you sleep.”
“yes it would. i would explode in front of them and their little virgin eyes don’t need that.” he replied. he rolled his eyes once more and gave her a snarky look, “you do know who you’re talking to right? i’ve tried virtually everything,”
“I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that enjoyed group projects. Even though one person ends up doing 95% of the work and the other ones just show up.”
“That’s the thing. 95% of the work is already done. But they still have to go over it and everything.”
Alec nodded. Core classes tended to suck. “Are your group members just like crappy people?” Alec hated when other people didn’t help with the project. There was nothing worse.
“Well they’re mostly freshmen, and I’m just like we don’t need to do all these things. The teacher doesn’t really care either. But they’re like freaking out about it.”
faith raised her eyebrows at him “it’s because you have such a nice face that everyone wants to see.” she laughed, rolling her own eyes at him. “i don’t think i’ve ever seen you this grumpy. everything okay?”
dante rolled his eyes with a smile, “shut up. they should be sick of me because i never smile and just mope.” he grumbled. he sighed and pinched his eyebrows. “i’m tired. haven’t been sleeping and shit.”
At that comment, Alec put the muffin that he had been shoving into his mouth down - to look at who the comment had come from. “But really,” Alec agreed. He hated them too. “What class?”
“i don’t even know some bullshit class that i have to take as a core for my major. he huffed.
faith laughed as she rolled her eyes at him “well because it’s a group project and you know that requires actually talking to everyone in your group to work on it, not just sending in your part.” she told him, resting her head on her hand.
dante huffed and rolled his eyes, “okay, but like if the whole project is done and everything is ready to be presented why do we still have to meet up. it’s not like a fucking care about this.” he grumbled into his coffee.
faith leaned over from behind him, wrapping her arms around him and pressing a kiss to his cheek before letting go and sitting down next to him. “quit your complaining and get to work.”
dante looked up as he felt someone’s arms around him. he huffed feeling the kiss before looking over to faith as she sat down. “i’ve done my work. work is done, i don’t know why we have to keep meeting.
“good.” she replied, returning the kiss before pulling away. “go to sleep, i don’t want to keep you up if you’re tired.” she laughed, softly as she pressed another quick kiss to his lips.
he breathed a laugh and shook his head with a sigh. pecking her lips quickly he smiled against them before letting her head rest against his chest.
"group projects fucking suck. 10/10 wouldn't reccomend." he huffed sitting down with his little coffee cup from starbucks.
she relaxed against him as his fingers go through her hair. “can we just stay like this for the rest of the week?” she mumbled as she wrapped an arm around him.
he smiled softly and nodded eyes growing heavy. “i think i can arrange for that.” he replied softly leaning over to kiss her softly.
“ugh, you’re so needy.” she laughed as she teased him, moving back into his arms. she leaned up pressing a quick kiss to his lips before placing her head on his chest.
he rolls his eyes and turns her so she facing him and smiles as she pressed their lips together. he brings a hand up to card through her hair breath evening out as he relaxes.
