HELLO POKESHIPPIN’ LOVIN’ FRIENDS just wanna drop by to say i just saw detective pikachu and I LOVED IT and one of my favorite things is that the leads were a subtle call back to ash and misty in how their respective pokemon were pikachu and psyduck!

On twitter, CentroPokemon posted about there being an art exhibit about Pokemon Sun & Moon at Milan Games Week. There’s some concept art that didn’t make it to Sun & Moon and among them is:

Look who’s being a boss on that boat! It’s Misty!

Translation: Ocean Village (Boat)

Now, considering Misty just appeared on the Sun & Moon anime, this begs the question whether there were plans to include her for the games but changed their mind. With Ultra Sun/Moon being an alternate universe, does this mean we might see Misty?

If Misty was supposed to be in Sun/Moon, I think it’s safe to assume she’d be heading for Seafolk Village. Why?

Well, here’s the map description: “The village of a wandering people who live on ships. They all seem to love living free and unfettered.”

If you’ve played Sun/Moon, it’s the place where smaller boats end up.

Considering how early on in the anime:

So it’s not out there that game!Misty would also be knowledgeable about boats & ships.

Let’s also add this scene from SM43:

Considering the above scene was not a typical goodbye/farewell, it’s a possibility Misty & Brock can visit Alola. Ash invited them to Alola himself. If anything, the scene suggested ‘let’s see each other again’ kind of vibe.

Additionally, the recent twitter post by Rica Matsumoto (Ash’s Japanese VA) with Brock being on the cookies (also spoiler for the anime so don’t click if you don’t want to be spoiled), it’s safe to assume there was a Misty cookie as well. They wouldn’t make cookies of them if there wasn’t anything planned with them, right?

Lastly, Professor Kukui wanted Misty and Brock to be the first gym leaders the SM cast are introduced to. Given that he confirmed he wants to build a Pokemon League in Alola and allow the SM cast to experience gym battles, it’s interesting Brock and Misty were picked to be the teachers.

I’m not saying it’s going to happen but given all the information above, it’s a possibility we’ll see Misty again in the anime. As for USM, there’s no telling whether she’ll be in the game. But now that we know there’s concept art of Misty for SM, we know that Pokemon was thinking of her all this time.

We’ll find out, I guess! It’s just fun to talk about.

warlordess said: Well, all fandoms have negativity. Some people might find that not responding in some way means they don’t have the power to defend themselves (or others, depending on how the subject is presented). This isn’t just Pokémon though. If you think responding is simply a way of revealing your own insecurities then okay but not everyone sees things the same way. (And by saying this, I am not in any way defending anon hate.)

well first off i don’t want ppl to be like “isn’t this exactly what you were talking about with discussing negativity” because no acknowledging the cisheteronormativity/misogyny is a different and notable issue one it’s own and very unlike shaming people who like one pokegirl over another

anyway

i’d definitely agree because both things are deeply ingrained in society as a whole and while typically fandoms have some variance i think it’s notable to mention how much the english pokeani fandom........literally just doesn’t. i find myself outside of a lot of the pokeani circles simply because my main dawn ship and one of my otps at all is appealshipping. idk. there’s so much to say about it. it’s another huge issue entirely.

REGARDLESS

the series is immensely positive and i’d like to see people learning from the series they’ve been following for literal years. as a Great Ending once said “when we share in our love, we make a beautiful world”

that’s literally all you can do. i really wish people would take on your mindset and move past the stubbornness of needing to maintain a facade that “if you thought and acted one way once you have to act like that forever”

the minute you realize “i enjoy this series in a different way than other people and it was wrong of me to treat them less like human beings” is a freeing one should you embrace it

letting go of the things you’ve done wrong/the ways people have wronged you only leads to happiness and personal enjoyment if nothing else.

man the pettiness ain’t worth it.
