I made another PowerPoint. It was very fun. And I accidentally acquired the ability to roughly date Beatles photos based on their hair.

What Ross has been able to reflect on is the death of his father. While they didn’t have the best relationship due to the elder Ross’ drinking problem, they had made peace with each other before his death in the summer of 2006. The band were touring then, but prior to leaving, Ross says he and his father were, “for the most part,” able to work through their problems.
“It was strange,” he says, nursing his cup. “I could see how sad he was most of the time. I don’t think he felt like he could get any better. When he finally passed, I was sad. I certainly still miss him, but it’s not like he was having a blast as it was.”
When asked if the experience affected any aspects of the new record, Ross is reflective. “It did in a way that I didn’t feel it would. I wasn’t writing any songs on the road, and [his death] happened during our first headlining tour. I had a year-and-a-half just to think about it. I decided that I wasn’t going to speak on the subject. But what I did take away from it was that I should be enjoying life more than I was. That’s why this album has a more positive tone.”
“As cliched as it might sound, time is precious,” he continues. “On a small level, I hope if someone heard songs like ‘Nine in the Afternoon’ and ‘That Green Gentleman,’ for those two-and-a-half minutes after a really bad day… it would make them feel a little bit better.”

from one of my old issues of cosmogirl… I love how their advice totally fits their personalities (and Ryan focuses on the fashion)
Brendon is the actual representation of my time management skills (if you take just the video’s bedroom parts out of context):
the other guys all wake up and then head out to where they’re supposed to be like nbd. and then there’s Brendon who decides it’s crucial to sing into a fire extinguisher, vacuum his freaking bed (??), have a mini meltdown, vacuum the rest of his room, do gymnastics, and then agonize over how late he is instead of actually getting his butt into gear…
