Astor raised his leg up and threw a kick towards the door of the cell.

Astor stepped into the cell. “Uh, how do I get your shackles off? I would assume I can’t just kick them.”

“Alright then. Will do.” He took out his pistol and held it up to the shackles, then fired at them.

“Don’t mention it. Now, you said you can open the door, right?” He said cautiously.

“yes,i am one of the few that can” he started to exit the room “follow me”

“Okay then.” As they left the room, Astor glanced back at where he had originally come from, trying to see if Jester was there.

neither him or the dragon were there

Astor raised an eyebrow, but then went back to heading to the laboratory.

“I guess maybe you should be glad for that. I haven’t gotten anything from anons either ((cough cough)), and I know I’m happy about it.”

Shans: you want anons to bother you, don’t you?

Shard: eh. Just be careful what you wish for.

“Well said, my friend.” Astor said. He gestured to an empty chair next to Shard. “Please, sit down. We have some things to talk about.”

*Shans takes a seat on the chair*

Shans: what do you want to talk about? *his tone was a little more serious*

“So you’re going to be helping Shard fight this…what was it? Ah, yes. The blood blue hedgehog. Am I correct?”

Shans: yes… he killed him already, and he told you what happened. I killed him more recently…. I had 0.25 health left afterwards.. he doesn’t stay down.

“Mmhmm…yes, quite the unfortunate, not to mention imbalanced, fight. Is there any way that you know of to be able to force him to remain dead?”

Shans: no. But there is no reason to be “dead” worried about it. We are just telling you what’s around, because Shard here wanted to talk about it. That and he may need medical assistance if he faces him. Let’s just have a friendly chat for now.

Astor chuckled at Shans’ pun. “Alright. Well, what do you propose we talk about?”

Shans: uh something a little more… not about death. *He points a bone at Shard* I’ve got a bone to pick with you.

Shard: ….is it the prank war?

Shans: uh huh.

He leaned back in his chair, still grinning. “Prank war? Oh, do tell. Do tell.”

Shard: the smiley furface and I were having a prank war. Whoopi cushions, smashing cymbals behind each other’s back, you name it.

Shans: and this furbag is yet to get back at me. Heheh

“Keh, I guess I’m not surprised. Well don’t go on getting me involved; I don’t need that going on in my life.”

Shard: too late! *he throws a pie at Astor

Shans: too late! *he throws a woopi cushion at Astor*

The woopi cushion bounced harmlessly off of his body, but the pie splattered onto Astor’s face.  He sighed, wiping the cream from over his eyes. He was about to say something, but then didn’t.

*Shard stood quiet while Shans started laughing*

Astor started to chuckle slightly. “I..maybe I deserve that.” He walked over to a wall panel and opened it, where he retrieved a towel to wipe the rest of his face.

Shard: Hehehehe. You okay? Wait what was the flavor?

Shans: pumpkin.

"Well, that's one less pumpkin pie in the universe." He said as he put the towel back into its compartment to be cleaned.

Nick and Judy enter the hospital around 8:30 and are at Jades room by 8:35

The duo quietly enters the room with morning coffee and donuts for all of them

they are not sure if Jade is awake so they quietly sit there and wait

Jade woke up at around nine o’clock, this time more peacefully. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times before getting them fully open. She quickly turned to face Nick and Judy, then relaxed as she recognized their faces.

“Oh, hello. I think you’ll be happy to hear I’m feeling a lot better today.” Jade said. She noticed the donuts out of the corner of her eye, but didn’t say anything.

They both looked up at her and smiled

“Well that is definitely good to hear, we brought you coffee and donuts if you would like any” Judy said as she stood up from the chair and set the cup of coffee on the table next to Jade and then opened the box of donuts so she could pick any one she wanted

“Take any one you want” Judy said as she stood there

Jade took a glazed donut and smiled back to Judy. “Thank you. You didn’t have to bring all this with you, it’s very thoughtful.”

She took a sip of the coffee, savoring the taste and warmth of the drink. “This is delicious though. I don’t usually drink coffee, but I could get used to this.”

Judy smiled at Jade.

“You’re very welcome, and it’s sort of a tradition for us to get the victim who is hospitalized morning donuts and coffee, and coffee can be replaced depending on age and all that” said Judy as she sipped her coffee and set the donuts down in a table by the window.

“So how’re you feeling today Jade?” asked Nick as he bit into his donut

“I feel better than yesterday, that’s for sure.” Jade explained, setting the coffee cup back on the table. “It still pains me if I breathe too heavily, though.”

“What exactly happened yesterday anyways? It was all a blur to me.” Jade said, about to bring the donut into her mouth.

“You were knocked out from a rock to the back of the head and then you were kidnapped by not polar bears like we thought but Speiciest sheep in disguise as polar bears so as to make the predators look bad, but they are both in custody and will be in jail for their crimes” said NIck as he sipped his coffee

“Oh. Well, that’s a..relief. Uh, why would they kidnap me? Am I important?” Jade said, looking back and forth between Nick and Judy. “I don’t understand.”

Jade adjusted herself in the bed, grunting as she propped up a couple pillows behind her so she could comfortably sit up.

Judy looked at Jade with concern. “We’re not sure why they kidnapped you, but I’m sure that wherever they were going to take you it wasn’t going to end well. We’re just lucky that someone called in the kidnapping” Judy said as she walked over to Jades bedside

“Hah, you’re right about that. I can’t imagine where they were headed with me.” Jade said.

“Hey by the way, was there any…less forceful way of stopping that car? Because I’m pretty sure I broke a rib in that crash.” Jade asked with a slight tinge of laughter.

Nick looked at her with a smirk. “Well we didn’t know they would crash the car with spikes, the only other thing we could’ve done was a pit maneuver but that would’ve definitely ended with the car rolling over and going into the ditch for sure” Nick said as he looked at Jade

“Well, I suppose some sacrifices must be made for the greater good.” Jade took a deep breath. “Yeah. I would definitely not like to be inside of a rolling car.” Jade said, taking another bite of her donut.

Then she stopped for a few moments and closed her eyes. “Woah.. wow that was a head rush if I’ve ever had one.”

The duo just sat there and listened to Jade

“You okay Jade, you feeling alright? we are just happy that you survived that crash and that we caught two more of Bellwethers goons” said Nick as he sipped his coffee

“Uh-huh. I’m fine…just an effect of the, uh…” Jade picked up a clipboard that was hanging next to the bed and examined it. “Ah yes. The concussion I apparently got from that rock hitting the back of my head.”

Jade shifted her weight to get more comfortable on the pillows propping her up, involuntarily grunting again as she did so. “Anyway, weren’t you going to..ask questions or something?”

Judy took out her notebook and carrot pen“Do you know if you have any enemies that would make you become a target of the Brotherhood of Baa? anyone you angered or did things that might have made you a target?” she asked

Jade frowned, trying to think of anything. “I don’t…think so. Umm..I-I don’t even remember what I was doing before I was knocked out by the rock. I’m sorry I can’t give you the information you’re wanting…”

Judy looked at her as she stood there

“It’s alright Jade, do you remember where you live?” Judy asked “Do you know where you work?”

"Uh, it's an apartment. I bet I'd recognize the building if I saw it. As for where I work, I work a- wait. Oh. I may know what could have made me a target." Jade said with a slight fear in her voice.

"I-I was walking home from a late shift one night, and I saw two figures in an alley doing something. I hurried home after that, but I'm pretty sure they saw me. What if there's more that try to kidnap me? I don't even know what I saw!"

The eldar seemed only mildly surprised with the power of the weapon. But the slaneshi demons had been blown to bits by the human weapons. The eldar guardian scribes and their escort moved in to get the relic and secure it safely.“keep your squads back, these are not normal foes, let the scribes secure the chaos relic, then we should be fine”

Lieutenant Douglas made his way to the front of the group, observing the damage the explosives had done. The walls were charred and slightly melted. Loose attachments had been blown off the walls and lay scattered on the floor.

“Understood. We will stay put. What the hell were those things, anyways?”

The eldar leader sighed “demons belonging to she who thirsts, the one who destroyed our empire and hunts us.. Thirsting for our souls”. As he said this the scribes moved in and began to secure the relic. On of the eldar retrieved the soul stones from their dead squad mates as another one had died from their wounds.

“But if she is hunting you, then what business did you have to bring this upon us as well? We may have been unknowingly carrying this…this relic, but it would not have affected us if you hadn’t shown up. Am I correct, or is there some missing information I don’t have?”

The eldar leader laughs “she cares not who’s souls she snares ” he makes a gesture of warding “it would have effected all of you.. Your souls may not give her as much delight as eldar souls, but they would still have been taken.”

“Oh. That’s definitely..troubling. So now that this relic is taken care of and the demons are dead, what is to happen next?” The Lieutenant eyed the elder leader suspiciously.

The eldar leader took of his helmet and smiled “we leave you and take this relic to the black library, were it will remain secured for the rest of eternity, under the watch of he laughing god’s harlequins ”. He then sighed “then I most honour the fallen and return their soul stones to their craftworld.” He signalled his squads to begin to depart. “

The Lieutenant took a breath and spoke as he followed the eldar back to the airlock. “I don’t understand what half of what you’re saying actually is, but I get the general idea. It’s good that you honor your dead like that. So your work is done here?”

The crew were beginning to go back to their original positions because the emergency was over.

The eldar squad leader took possession of the bag containing the dead’s soul stones. “I will return to my ship and inform my captain that the relic is secure, I imagine he will then let your ship depart”. The eldar squad leader made his way into the airlock as did the other squads

"That is good to hear." His voice didn't reveal it, but the Lieutenant was actually greatly relieved that the ship would most likely not be destroyed.

They arrived at the airlock, and the Lieutenant stood by at a control panel that would seal doors around the airlock, since the airlock's doors had been broken by the eldar's entrance. "Well this is it. I suppose it was good that you came after all."

‘The Queen spared a glance at the sky before resting her eyes on Astor one more time. Whether it was caught in the blast, she didn’t know for sure.’

"Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure it landed safely somewhere around here. Though I can't call it because the EMP definitely shut down its systems. I'll need to search around for it."

"But, eh, clearly you're not too happy about this whole situation. Something like this happening definitely warrants me, or the Federation, doing something to help. Whether it's cleanup or... I don't know, something else."

“Here she comes. Hope you have a good excuse planned. She doesn’t take prisoners.”

‘Half a minute later, the changeling Queen arrived and touched down in front of Astor. She did not look happy.’

“You! You better give me a VERY good reason not to practice my taxidermy hobby on your corpse. One minute. Start talking!”

Astor took a step back. “Well, let me start off by saying that this was not my fault. I landed here because of damage to the warp drive on my ship, so I had no control over where I would end up. Then naturally, these drones followed me. I could have just flown the hell out of here, leaving the drones here to do what they will to you, but I didn’t.”

“Don’t pull that card with me peon. You brought them here, so I hold you responsible for this mess……….but, you did finish them off for me, so I guess that’s enough to get you off the hook for you transgression. My mercy is rare, so take this opportunity to count your blessings worm.”

‘The Queen chuckles as she remembers who she was speaking to.’

“We’ve met before actually. Astor, correct?”

“Eh, yes. That my name. But…I don’t remember meeting you before now? I mean, I know who you are, and I’m not all too fond of you in general, but I don’t believe we’ve met.”

Astor picked up his helmet, which happened to be right next to him, and wiped the dust off of the visor.

“We didn’t meet face to face. We did communicate over a distance the first time you came here. You were not yourself. Your mind was heavily fractured and you were quite out of it. Now, is there something you need, or are you just here to cause more trouble?”

"Oh. Right. That would explain why I don't remember speaking with you. And, eh, I don't believe I need anything. I did crash here on accident after all."

“You’re very welcome, and it’s sort of a tradition for us to get the victim who is hospitalized morning donuts and coffee, and coffee can be replaced depending on age and all that” said Judy as she sipped her coffee and set the donuts down in a table by the window.

“So how’re you feeling today Jade?” asked Nick as he bit into his donut

“I feel better than yesterday, that’s for sure.” Jade explained, setting the coffee cup back on the table. “It still pains me if I breathe too heavily, though.”

“What exactly happened yesterday anyways? It was all a blur to me.” Jade said, about to bring the donut into her mouth.

“You were knocked out from a rock to the back of the head and then you were kidnapped by not polar bears like we thought but Speiciest sheep in disguise as polar bears so as to make the predators look bad, but they are both in custody and will be in jail for their crimes” said NIck as he sipped his coffee

“Oh. Well, that’s a..relief. Uh, why would they kidnap me? Am I important?” Jade said, looking back and forth between Nick and Judy. “I don’t understand.”

Jade adjusted herself in the bed, grunting as she propped up a couple pillows behind her so she could comfortably sit up.

Judy looked at Jade with concern. “We’re not sure why they kidnapped you, but I’m sure that wherever they were going to take you it wasn’t going to end well. We’re just lucky that someone called in the kidnapping” Judy said as she walked over to Jades bedside

“Hah, you’re right about that. I can’t imagine where they were headed with me.” Jade said.

“Hey by the way, was there any…less forceful way of stopping that car? Because I’m pretty sure I broke a rib in that crash.” Jade asked with a slight tinge of laughter.

Nick looked at her with a smirk. “Well we didn’t know they would crash the car with spikes, the only other thing we could’ve done was a pit maneuver but that would’ve definitely ended with the car rolling over and going into the ditch for sure” Nick said as he looked at Jade

“Well, I suppose some sacrifices must be made for the greater good.” Jade took a deep breath. “Yeah. I would definitely not like to be inside of a rolling car.” Jade said, taking another bite of her donut.

Then she stopped for a few moments and closed her eyes. “Woah.. wow that was a head rush if I’ve ever had one.”

“just kick the door” “it’s fragile at the outside”

“Oh. Uh, okay.”

Astor raised his leg up and threw a kick towards the door of the cell.

it fell like paper “now get me out of here”

Astor stepped into the cell. "Uh, how do I get your shackles off? I would assume I can't just kick them."
