Be sure to give them a rewatch this week so you can join our chat and talk about Andy Gallagher, and also Jo and Dean! (And how Dean sleeps in a chair. There have to be more comfortable ways to sleep in that chair!)

Question for YOU - We are considering starting up something akin to the Angel Fish Awards, but where writers tell us about awesome comments they've received on their fics! Admin Michelle spent some time during her chat yesterday bandying about different names, but didn't come up with anything that really spoke to her. Angel Turtle Awards? Ninja Angel Turtle Awards? Raphael Awards? (Because, you know, he was a TMNT and an archangel.) What do you guys think? Let us know in replies and reblogs!

Competitive Writing Sprints!

Add words to your WIP and earn prizes at the same time!!! This session will be hosted by @heavenssexiestangel!

What time will it be for you?

How will it work?

The exact number of sprints and length of each sprint will be decided by the host and participants. Be prepared to work on a WIP of your own, but the host has the option of offering a prompt.

At the end of the sprints, whoever wrote the most words in one sprint will get a prize. Whoever wrote the most words in all of the sprints together will also get a prize. More prizes may be given out on the day depending on how things go. If the host brings prompts, there may be opportunities to win more prizes for most creative, funniest, etc. Be prepared to be asked to share your work! You don’t have to if you don’t want to! (Prizes will be chosen from the Pond Prize Pool.)

Where will this happen?

In the sprint channel in the Pond discord server. (You must be a member to be in the discord server. Not a member? Start here and then send us an ASK!) For anyone who hasn’t sprinted before, how it all works will be explained before we start.

Summary: It's Halloween night, and Dean is at the graveyard to talk to his mother about the unrequited feelings he has for Lucifer, his witch. His feelings might me more welcome than he thinks, though, and this Halloween more special than the others.

Notes: I really hope you will all like it, because I really put my heart into it. As you will see, there's the beginning of a song towards the end. I wrote it, much like I wrote songs for my fanfic "Your Soul Sang to Me". I hope you like it. Do tell me if I should finish it!

Admin Michelle here with another SPNFanFicPond Fic Highlight!

Those who know me know that I don't read romantic Lucifer fics, so I walked into this one very hesitantly. The relationship that Arthur has put together here between Dean and Lucifer is just freaking deep, man. They aren't perfect. It wasn't love at first sight. They both think they have nothing to offer. But they both have these deep feelings that will make you want to get into this story and hug them both. Together.

If you want to see Lucifer be a total little meow meow (even though it's Dean who's the cat 🤣), then this is the fic for you!!

SPN Rewatch: FanFic Edition

Our goal is to rewatch the show with fanfic writing in mind. We want to look for all the places in canon where we could add a scene, show a scene from a certain character’s point of view, or change something to make things turn out differently. (We may also critique what the show writers did; that seems inevitable.)

Episodes we're discussing: 2.03 Bloodlust and 2.04 Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things

What time will it be for you:

Who’s invited? All Pond members, including Turtles! You don’t have to be a writer to have an opinion on the episodes that could inspire a writer! Everyone has valuable opinions about the show and could spark conversation and inspiration.

Where will we meet? In the discord server. There is a special channel for us to chat in so we don’t disturb other chats happening at the same time.

How does it work? On our own, whenever we have time, we all watch two episodes of SPN. At the appointed time, we all get together and chat about them. Although we have several questions to consider and creative ideas for you to do if you want, there is no pressure to actually have answers to these questions or have created anything prior to the chat. Didn’t get to watch them? No biggie! We’ve all watched these episodes enough that we can probably talk about them without rewatching them!

Episode Summary: Lex, Clark, and Lana discover an abandoned baby in a cornfield and take him back to the Kent farm. But when the newborn ages to a 7 year old in a matter of days, the trio frantically search for a cure before the rapid-aging disease kills him.

Chapter Summary: Clark and Lex talk things out with Martha.

Prologue: Part One

"Oh, my God." 

Without thought, Clark's hand slips into Lex's as they face Martha. He feels Lex try to tug out of his grasp, but doesn't allow it. She's caught them in an undeniable position, but he's not going to feel ashamed about it, regardless of the heat he feels pooling in his cheeks. He's just glad she didn't show up five minutes earlier, and that Jonathan isn't standing right behind her. 

"Martha, I can -"

"Mom, let me -"

The two young men look glance at each other, and Lex jerks his head stiltedly, deferring to Clark to start the agonizing explanation. Martha beats them to the punch, her gaze turning soft as she takes in their joined hands.

"Kitchen, two minutes." Martha turns back towards the stairs, hand gripping the side rail tightly for balance as she starts back down the way she came, calling over her shoulder. "Clark, clean up the cookies, would you? And keep an eye out for your father."

We have been informed that the NSFW nature of the doc in question was NOT the reason it was pulled. It was affected because it had been shared with a large number of people and went against the spam rules.

We're hoping that editing the original post will help stop the spread of misinformation, but we also realize that reblogs of previous reblogs will not include this addition. Deleting the original post won't get rid of those reblogs, either. We can only hope that the correct information gets spread farther and wider than the initial panic.

This was brought to our attention today. We would ALWAYS recommend keeping your writing in two places, for many reasons, but here is one more!
