“Did you enjoy giving them a show?” you ask. He looks over to see a few TVs are still on from across the way. “I wonder how much they saw? Now they know you belong to me.” he grumbles. The only light in his room is one of those paper lanterns that stand about four feet tall. “I hope they saw all of it,” you smirk glancing over at him, red tinting his cheeks and ears.

While he’s still resting on the bed naked, you grab a blanket, wrap it around yourself, and head to his balcony to light up a cigarette. The night is quiet and empty. No engine noise, no car horns, and no chatter from pedestrians. It’s brisk and peaceful. As you’re exhaling smoke, your inner thoughts invade and you start to become self conscious. You start doubting yourself again. What does this man see in me? Will this be the last time? I’m sure he’s sick of me by now.

You’re startled by his hand grabbing your waist and he rests his other arm on the railing, taking a long look at the night view. He smiles at how romantic the city looks below, almost as if you’re the only two people in it. Your eyes meet his and his smile gets wider, hinting that you’re more beautiful than the view. You notice he put on a pair of sweatpants before meeting you, now you’re really nervous. He’s topless and my god, his physique is something else. His toned chest, especially his serratus anterior muscles, make you let out a moan.

After your conversation with Baekhyun Monday evening Tuesday was spent desperately trying to get Baekhyun off your mind, with little success. He’d asked you if you liked him like that, and you couldn’t tell him no. Hell, you knew in the back of your mind that the answer was definitely yes, you just couldn’t bring yourself to say it to his face. 

As much as you did like him, the prospect of starting something with a customer who was also your professor was still terrifying. What if you two got together and people found out? Or what if things started to go south and you were still stuck with him as your teacher? 

Despite your other schoolwork, and cleaning basically everything you possibly could, your mind just kept racing with every different possible scenario for if you did tell Baekhyun how you felt. And most of them were quite unpleasant. He could lose his job, you could make class absolute hell for yourself if things didn’t go well, and so on. Different possibilities played themselves out in your mind over and over, and there was little you could do to stop it. 

However the thoughts that stuck with you the most were the ones where things didn’t end badly. Thoughts of his arms around you, his comforting words whispered in your ear, and the gentle touches of his pretty hands on your skin. As much as you fought it, the attraction was there.

You rolled your eyes, frowning.

Having your manager check you out every time you clocked in was one of the less fun parts of your job.  

You didn’t clock in to make any kind of hourly pay, and your real name was definitely not Candy. As a dancer at a gentleman’s club you made your money on a pole and in private lap dance rooms, but it’s whatever pays the bills, and as a college student being able to make over a thousand dollars a week working just two nights was worth it. 

After checking in, you went back to the dressing room to check your makeup and outfit one last time and grab your money bag before heading back out to get your night started.  

Saturday nights used to not be your favorite, but they had been for a few months now because of one customer. The first night you met him, his friends had dragged him in after getting dumped to cheer him up. When you sat down with the nine of them you already knew it would be a good night, judging by the *quite* expensive VIP booth they’d bought. 

Your first impression of him wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, having met plenty of relatively good looking guys while working at the club and being quite used to groups like them doing birthdays or bachelor parties.

They were a fun group, and you found yourself actually having fun as they bought you rounds of drinks and perched you on their newly single friends lap. 

That night his friends bought him a private room with you, and he’d been back to see you again every Saturday night since.

People moving away as he found a stool and ordered a drink from the bartender. Your friends you came with half forgotten as you kept finding yourself glancing his way. Watching him fold his cane and tuck it away in his blazer. Sip on his liquor. All while the music continued pounding and your friends danced without you. The one drink you had long since polished off barely gripped. Only sipping on the melted ice water. You couldn’t help from wondering what his story was. Was he meeting someone? Did he enjoy eavesdropping on the others at the bar trying to flirt? How has no one approached him yet? Did he just like clubs?

There is strict protocol for how a lady’s morning is carried out. There is fairly strict–but not as strongly enforced–protocol for her schedule the rest of the day on most occasions afterward. And there are supremely stringent rules to educate them with proper manners and etiquette, usually through classes. At last there are the most dangerous and exhilarating rules cultivated and given by society to every girl as she rises into a woman to prepare them for the rigors and wiles of men. One learns most of these by proxy. If one is blessed with a doting mother, or in fact perhaps sisters were the best teachers second only to the honest and civil conversation with a gentleman, one could be moderately informed of the absolute blunder that fondness breeds on first approach.
