I tried my best?

Yet again, Iwaizumi presses a kiss to your forehead in the midst of silence. You want to ask what spurred his open need for affection, but the softness of his lips paired with the way his eyes glimmer in adoration when he looks at you, makes your words jumble and catch at the back of your throat.

“Sorry, have am I acting weird?” He asks, lips parting slightly. Your eyes flicker to his mouth as you realise a little too late that he’s gauging your response.

“A little, but I’m not complaining.” It’s hard to fight the grin tugging at your lips, and the smirk that comes to his as he catches you staring. “It’s been a while.”

His arms tighten around your waist in agreement, tugging you closer against his body. He basks in the warmth of your body and the post-exam bliss even more than you do, but you’re sure it’s because nobody will be trying to solicit him as a tutor for at least a few months.

“Can you stay the night?” You ask, although your words are muffled against his collarbone. If he had an ounce of hesitation in him, it would have melted from the softness in your voice.

“Sure, you’ve still got some of my things, right?”

“Of course!” You grin, reminding Iwaizumi just why he’ll give in to you every time.

“I take that practice went well?” You ask while Oikawa’s arm is sliding around your waist, pulling you closer to lean against his side and sink into the plush mattress with him.

“What makes you say that?” He asks, absentmindedly rubbing soothing circles into your waist.

You yawn as you rest your head against his shoulder.  “You finished on time for once. For a second I thought you’d gotten hurt again.”

He laughs, but it starts to sound strained, over the teasing lilt you’ve grown so used to. “I’m always making you worry about me too much.” He sighs, knowing it’s nothing new. He shifts, to pull you against him and rest a hand over the small of your back.

“Someone has to.” He stiffens, but when he sees that you’re still wearing a tired smile, he relaxes again. He’s still not sure why, but there’s something about ending a tiring day with you that makes him forget whatever had him worked up in the first place.

His brown eyes gleam in a mischievous glint, warm with the same softness you fell for. You only notice the hand settling at the back of your head once Oikawa is bringing his lips to yours, kissing softly and slow, singing his praises in ways words can’t.

You smiled in apology and waited for her to continue. Her cheeks w“ere scorching, your cool demeanour inflicting quiet torment on her already tense nerves and violently pounding heart.

“I wanted to say that, I really like you, ____-chan.” Kiyoko sighs, relieved now that she’d finally said it. “I don’t know if you feel the same, but if possible, would you give me a chance?” Grey eyes widened as she grasps enough courage to see your reaction, but only manages a second of looking at your shocked face.

“Wait.” You said, grabbing her hand before she could leave. “Didn’t you just ask me to give you a chance?” Your hand was as warm and soft as the smile on your face, fitting perfectly in her hand as you squeezed it. “Come on, let’s go home together!”

You always managed to look so cool. Yachi always felt that if she could just spend a few minutes around you, everything would be okay, that the slight tremble to her fingers as she absentmindedly played with them was actually somewhat pleasant.. She just wished that she had the courage to say it directly, rather than stood in front of your locker, with a heart pounding so violently against the letter held against her chest.

“Hitoka? What are you doing here?” You asked. With a squeak, Yachi turns to you, caught red handed as she was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t notice you approaching.

While it takes many stammered attempts, she does manage to choke out your name. “I-I wasn’t expecting you…” She desperately hopes you haven’t seen the letter, but you quickly catch on to the fact that there’s something that’s causing her to act this way. “ That reminds me, I have something for you!”

“Oh, really?” Your eyes widen a little, and it’s the cute enough to make Yachi nearly pass out. But before she can do so, the letter is forced into your hands, her fingers shaking wildly as she refuses to back out, but still well aware of the fact that her affections are all in your grasp now.

“P-Please, only read that when you get home!!” She’s shouting over her own heartbeat, and before you can utter her name, she’s run far out of sight.

“Let’s take a little detour.” Yukie’s eyes are gleaming and you almost feel like you know what she’ll say next. “There’s a patisserie a few minutes from here, and they have the best cakes you’ll ever taste! How about it?” You may not have been entirely right, but you were close. “I’ll pay for you!”

“Really?” Your lips curl into a smile as you thanked her as she assures you that it’s not a problem. Yukie’s more than willing to take you everyday if you’ll look at her with such a bright grin. Yukie links an arm around yours as she changes course. You don’t move away, and while Yukie is near ecstatic, she can’t help wonder just how wonderful it would be to hold your hand and take you out with her all the time.

“___-chan, I was wondering,” She pauses, trying to will away the nervous chill that begins to settle into her tone. She waits until you’re staring back at her before she continues, and while her voice wavers, the softness in your eyes puts her at ease a little. “Would you ever let me bring you somewhere else like here? As my girlfriend?”

In the second it takes for Futakuchi to notice the tears threatening to spill, his arm wraps tight around your waist, pulling you against his chest as you rest your head on his surprisingly comfortable shoulder.

“Let’s go out for the day,” He begins, changing the subject to anything he knows could bring a smile back to your cute face. He glances to you, eyes soft yet worried.  “We’ll do anything you want to do and it’s all on me. We can talk about what’s wrong after we get back.”

Oikawa’s eyes are dark, the warmth that you’d grown accustomed to turns sharp as you could tell he was seriously considering an intervention of sorts.

“Tooru, don’t do anything reckless, please.” You murmur, grasping his hand tightly. Sighing in defeat as he knows he can’t refuse you, his anger seems to dissipate.

He pulls you into a hug instead and rubs soothing circles into your back. “Promise me that you’ll come to me whenever you feel sad, okay? It’s not fair for you to go through this alone.” You nod, taken aback by the solemnity of his voice, albeit muffled into your shoulder. He presses a chaste kiss to your temple, in a silent promise of support.

"...sometimes I wonder if they even care..." You choked out to Yamaguchi. He hears your voice waver as you try your utmost to hold your tears and it crushes him.

He raises his arms in invitation, which you accept and lean into him and letting him guide you into a gentle embrace. Despite the heaviness in your chest, it fluttered at the feeling of safety that you had so dearly missed.

"Please don't think of yourself that way." He sighs against your skin, thinking of each trait of yours that was precious, that made him and others fall in love with you. Despite the growing blush on his face, he'd tell you everything as many times as it took.

“Those people may not be reliable, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t still care about you.” Iwaizumi points out, and he’s about to ruffle your hair until he realises how dangerously close he’s bordering to dad territory.

“With all that said, if they’re really making you feel like this….” He trails off. “You can find other people who want to be your friend. Trust me on that one, I know it probably doesn’t feel like it right now.” He cuts to the chase, as he can see your face falling as you get further lost in thought.

Iwaizumi takes your hand in his larger one, squeezing tightly as he begins to glance away. “Y-you know I’m here for you, right?” He asks, and you can fathom a half smile as you spot the slight pink to his cheeks.

Suga listens more intently than ever as you explain. Not just waiting for you to finish talking, but instead his attention is glued on you, clear from how his eyebrows sometimes furrow in disapproval or he finds himself frowning.

He exhales as he tries to gather his thoughts.“___-chan, there are a lot of people who love you for who you are. I’ll make sure to help show you how much everyone cares for you, I just don’t want you to think that it’s your fault.”

“Koushi…” You murmur, but he steals your words by means of pressing his lips against yours, fingers brushing against your cheek once before he pulls away. He flashes you a grin, as infectious as ever and you can’t help but feel a gentle tug at your lips.

Finally I’d get to see someone do an anime-esque nosebleed! But i’d probably have to call the hospital because you better live

Same here. They bring me back to my childhood, just a little gayer. While I also love a good old barista! AU my friend recently enlightened me with a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure/Haikyuu crossover and my life has never been the same

Honestly just looking at Iwaizumi boxing is enough to knock me out, and you bet I’ll be there with the first aid kit!
