The Irgun was a Jewish Terror organization in Palestine that operated in the 30′s and 40′s, carrying out attacks and massacres against Palestinian civilians in their [successful] efforts to use terror to establish the state of Israel.

The Irgun was responsible for numerous shootings and bombings, from drive-bys, to planting bombs in crowded markets and cafes, to targeted assassinations, to full-on massacres.

Two of the Irgun’s most notorious actions were that of the King David Hotel bombing in 1946 that killed 90 people, as the Deir Yassin Massacre in 1948 in which over 100 Palestinians were murdered.

The Deir Yassin Massacre was one of the worst massacres of the Palestinian Nakba, the campaign in which Jewish forces ethnically cleansed the native Palestinian Muslims and Christians from their land, creating over 750,000 refugees and destroying over 500 towns and cities in order to establish the state of Israel.

During the massacre in their attempts to control the village, Jewish forces went door to door with TNT and blew up houses containing Palestinian civilians and those defending their village from the attack. Irgun forces would throw grenades in through the windows of houses they passed, killing those inside. To add to the atrocity, those taken as prisoners by the Irgun were lined up and systematically shot.

The images above represent the Irgun’s emblem, which features all of Palestine and Jordan. The Irgun believed that the entirety of both Palestine and Jordan belonged to the Jewish people, and their end-goal was to establish the Israeli state across the two of them.

Palestinians are frequently demonized as refusing to accept peace or seeking more land for ourselves [despite the fact that the entirety of our land was stolen from us, and continues to be stolen from us by Israeli settlements], yet ignore the fact that one of the most prominent groups responsible for carrying out the ethnic cleansing of Palestine to establish Israel /themselves/ believed that both all of Palestine AND Jordan would be theres.

“Why is this relevant?” you might ask.

The answer is because leaders of the Irgun eventually went on to hold leadership positions within Israel, among them Menachem Begin, who lauded and celebrated the massacre of Deir Yassin as being vital for the establishment of Israel:

Arabs throughout the country, induced to believe wild tales of “Irgun butchery,” were seized with limitless panic and started to flee for their lives. This mass flight soon developed into a maddened, uncontrollable stampede. The political and economic significance of this development can hardly be overestimated.
- Menachem Begin

He also celebrated the massacre as a “splendid act of conquest” meant to serve as a model of the future:

His violent and pervasive genocidal mentality followed him all the way to the positions of power within Israel, where he ruled during future massacres that I will come back to.

Begin, who was leader of the Irgun at the time of the Deir Yassin Massacre, eventually went on to serve as Prime Minister of Israel and found the “Herut” political party. For context, the Herut party went on to become the Likud party, the current party in control of Israel.

Begin, leader of a terrorist organization responsible for numerous civilian deaths through bombings, massacres, and shootings, who supported the idea that Israel should encompass all of both Palestine AND Jordan, who celebrated the massacre of Palestinians as important for the establishment of Israel, went on to become the head of the state, and he brought his ideology of terror to Israeli leadership.

Begin was a major proponent of Israeli Settlements, which are recognized internationally as illegal due to their construction on stolen Palestinian land and their segregational nature. His support of Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory underlines his Irgun ideology - that ALL of Palestine and Jordan were to be Israeli territory.

Time and time again, Israel gives the world some sad story about how it’s the Palestinians who don’t want peace, how the Arabs refused to accept the partition plan, etc, etc. Yet, it’s clear to anyone familiar with history that the goal was always to control the entirety of Palestinian territory, and preferably have the Palestinians removed from it all.

Begin was also Prime Minister of Israel during the Sabra and Shatila massacre of 1982, which left over 500 Palestinian refugees murdered by Lebanese Phalangists and Israeli forces.

So why is it that Israel, a country founded on terrorism, ethnic cleansing, and the massacres of civilians, headed by terrorists directly responsible for massacres who went on to carry out even worse while head of the state, continues to preach this double-standard and narrative of victimhood while those responsible for all the reprehensible actions mentioned above never faced justice and are instead lauded and celebrated?

Israel continuously asserts that Palestinians celebrate terrorists and murderers, yet Israel itself has been run on multiple occasions by terrorists and murderers responsible for the deaths of thousands, who are then hailed as heroes.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party is the successor of Begin’s Herut party, and as such, they follow the same ideology of conquest and ethnic cleansing.

It was widely reported that the IDF murdered 16 Palestinians during the first The Great March of Return. Palestinians and Israeli both were well aware of this figure.

How did Israeli citizens respond?

The same way they did when they learned that they can witness the slaughter of Palestinians first-hand in operation Cast Lead-

Knowing that they’d likely get the chance to watch Palestinians be sniped and murdered by the IDF, they quickly ran to the “oh so dangerous” border to watch from the high seats.

The inhumanity plaguing Israeli society is absolutely sickening.

This is from 2018, when over 200 Palestinian civilians were executed during the nonviolent Great March of Return

The settlement the Israelis in the photo are from is one of those attacked by Palestinian resistance on October 7th

I can’t imagine why anyone would want to harm them 🥴🥴🥴

Better question - why do IDF soldiers wander around civilian areas of Israel? They’re valid military targets, yet they don’t isolate themselves 24/7 thereby putting Israelis in danger. Why do IDF reservists, also valid targets, go home to their families and keep their own guns in their homes? By your logic, those the homes of their families are now valid targets.

Have you yourself EVER in your life spoken to a SINGLE Palestinian from Gaza? Have they themselves told you about them or anyone they know being used as human shields? I’m gonna go out on a crazy limb and assume no, you haven’t. I have.

Gaza is one of the most densely populated places on earth. There is no land that is not in use, and most houses home multiple entire families. There is no place to run, no place to hide, no bomb shelters, no international defense, no so one to save them.

Meanwhile, Israel has the Iron Dome, bomb shelters, and one of the most sophisticated armies in the world. They are backed by the most powerful countries on the planet. They are funded by the billions.

Nowhere did I say I “support” Hamas. I support all forms of Palestinian resistance, be they from organizations I absolutely despise or organizations I love. THAT is decolonization. You don’t pick and choose which fighters are good uwu vs which ones are to be condemned.

Hamas is nothing more than a response to decades of Israeli barbarity. Israel loves to blame Hamas for all civilians killed, when by that same logic, given that Hamas is the result of Israeli actions in the first place, Israel would STILL be responsible for all those killed.

If someone decided to hide a rocket launcher in an apartment building in the middle of New York, by your genocidal logic, I suppose it’s okay for that building to be blown up regardless of any civilian deaths.

People like you always want to look to the reaction, and never the source of said reaction. You never want to consider “Hmmm, now why does Hamas actually exist?” your narrative STARTS at Hamas actions.

Lastly, what was the excuse prior to Hamas? Israel still engaged in the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians prior to Hamas. What was the excuse then?

One doesn’t have to “support” Hamas to see this for what it is - Israeli barbarity and ethnic cleansing in action. Hamas is their convenient scapegoat.

Oh and btw, kindly go fuck yourself :)

There are many reports going around detailing the rise in anti-semitism throughout the US, and there is absolutely no denying that, along with the general rise in xenophobia since Trump’s inauguration.

What people SHOULD pay attention to, however, is that many orgs that track anti-semitism alone frequently lump genuine anti-semitism with acts against Israel and actions against Zionism.

For example, as part of their 2013 audit, the ADL [Anti-Defamation League] included Palestinian-led protests & blogs in their list of “anti-semitic incidents”, in one case citing that a banner that read “my heroes have always killed colonizers” [a banner presented by an Indigenous American group referring to their genocide] as an example of “violent anti-semitism”. They have also included Israeli Apartheid Week demonstrations and articles critical of Israel in their audit.

If the Anti-Defamation League were truly only interested in incidents of anti-semitism, then why would they have a list on their site featuring “Top 10 Organizations Critical of Israel”?

The reason is simple - despite what they claim, they want to conflate criticism of Israel with anti-semitism to both drive up their numbers & demonize those who advocate against Israel in ways they don’t personally approve of.

The ADL President has smeared Black Lives Matter for their joint work with Palestinians, claiming that accusing Israel of genocide was “baseless” and considering it to be anti-semitism.

The ADL frequently works against BDS activists, claiming that BDS is a “source of anti-semitism”, despite being an entirely non-violent movement dedicated to the boycotting of Israeli goods until Palestinians are free and the occupation is ended.

The ADL regularly advocates on behalf of hardline pro-Israel policies in the US & work with pro-Israel groups that have a history of demonized and attacking pro-Palestinian organizers.

ADL President views any exclusion of pro-Israelis from an event or space as an act of anti-semitism, rather than an act to ostracize those who would seek to do Palestinians harm.

The ADL president is a defender of Israeli settlements, blaming their expansion on the Palestinians who “refuse” to accept peace with Israel.

Consider that for a moment - the President of the Anti-Defamation League seems to be justifying the expansion of hardline Jewish-only settlements built on actively stolen Palestinian land and entirely off-limit to Palestinians and illegal under international law on the refusal of Palestinians to accept “peace” with the same state that continues to expand those same settlements…and he claims to be running an organization dedicated to documenting hatred against the Jewish people.

Which is entirely, and thoroughly false.

The ADL is a bogus organization that mixes lies amidst truth. If you visit their site and read their audit on anti-semitism by state, you’ll find that they have “selected incidents” for anyone to view, all of which are blatant anti-semitism featuring hate-speech, swastikas, and assaults against Jewish individuals. Note that these are “selected incidents”, while any of the incidents /not/ shown to the public readily are those featuring anti-Israel activity, from anti-Israel protests to BDS events to Palestinians defying Israelis soldiers and politicians on US campuses.

By doing this, they’re able to increase their number of “anti-semitic incidents” while simultaneously continuing Israel’s work of conflating anti-Israel activity with anti-Semitism.

I know that most of you sharing these posts detailing the rise in anti-Semitism as reported by the ADL are doing so from a position of wanting to do good, but the ADL is simple another anti-Palestinian organizations disguised as an “anti-hate” org.

A post I wrote on the ADL over 6 years ago

The ADL has always been a hardline Zionist, anti-Palestinian organization FIRST & foremost.

Over the weekend, Israeli settlers, backed by Israeli Occupation Forces, confiscated about 6 acres of my family's land. Land that has been with my family for generations & used for agriculture, seizing about 30 acres in total from our village over the weekend.

Israeli settlers, armed by the Israeli government, simply walked onto the land, set up tents, & now claim it as their own - and as Palestinians with the land ownership documents, there is absolutely nothing we can do.

This isn't the first time, either - just a couple years back, Israeli settlers seized about 3 acres from us & dozens more from others in our village.

& now, as Palestinians, we are no longer allowed to set foot on our own land, while Israeli settlers with citizenships from around the world [primarily the US] get "free" land, & will go on to establish an outpost & eventually a new settlement community, which will be funded & provided utilities by the Israeli government, who will then build discriminatory roads connecting it to the network of Israeli settlements built on Palestinian land throughout the West Bank.

It's utterly surreal to be living under a settler colony that continues to grow through the use of ethnic cleansing - because that is precisely what this is.

Those same settlers have been raiding our town for YEARS, but have dramatically stepped up their attacks this year - prior to anything that's happened in October. They've set fire to the homes & vehicles of friends, they've uprooted hundreds of olive trees, & spray paint "gas the Arabs" on our homes. People who resist by throwing stones at these invading groups have been shot at [and in several cases, killed].

This is why we resist.

Say this happens to your family - but they take the last slivers of your land. Land that has been in your family, in use, for generations. A group of armed Israeli "civilians" take over your land & home. You can't do /anything/ to contest it. A few years later, they build a house on your land, all the while spreading out more & more, like a tumor, swallowing up the surrounding area & destroying your community that's existed for centuries.

Tell me - are these people civilians to you? Does the fact that they carry out this violence in jeans & t-shirts keep them as perpetual civilians? What about after they've built their houses on our land & moved in their family - are they still civilians?

When Palestinians finally organize & fight to reclaim their land & homes, attacking the same settlers who stole it in the first place, they're labeled as "terrorists" attacking "innocent Jewish civilians".

The struggle to reclaim what was stolen would be labeled "unprovoked anti-semitic violence".

My family's situation isn't unique - it is, put simply, the Palestinian experience. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been, & continue to go through this. Israel frames these settlements as "peaceful communities just trying to live life with their families", and neglect to mention that these communities exist ONLY through theft, appropriation of Palestinian land, & subjugation of Palestinian life & ability to resist.

Israel is a settler-colony, & Palestinian must, & will, be liberated within our lifetimes.
