a smile spread across ahsoka’s face. it would be nice to do something helpful in her spare time. besides, she had grown to think of bohdi as a friend, & ahsoka was always willing to help her friends.“sure, of course i’m up for it.” ahsoka grinned, brushing past him to where the wires were. she had already had gloves on, since she had just come back from another job, so she carefully went down to pick up the wires in her hands. “where do they need to go?” she asked, turning back to face him.
he noticed her smile. it was always useful to have other people to help him. ahsoka was super cool. “sweet! they need to be connected to the engine port, it’s the one that clearly has no wires in it, but totally should have wires in it.” he shrugged. “and you need to get it to stay in place so no one else has to play wire dodge.”

he hates running, it was always one of his worst subjects at the academy. it was one of the reasons he was not allowed to be a fighter pilot. if you couldn’t run from a crashed ship you weren’t any use. he has to duck out of the way from blaster shots. “just wish they would let us go about our business ya know?”

Jyn flushed a little when he spoke - for someone being so cocky about sauntering up and propositioning, she was easily embarrassed when someone was so blunt and explicit about what she was after. She was after it, of course. But hearing him say it…
“You’re so crude when you want to be.” She told him, leaning in to press a kiss against his lips and she took his hand in hers. “Let’s go for an early lunch, okay? I’ll leave you alone this afternoon if you want to get things done.”
he laughed a little when she flushed. it was silly to see her in that state, especially when she had just come up to him in the middle of the day, in the middle of the very crowded hangar and just kissing him in such an intimate way. if only she could see how it looked, or see how she looked in that moment. it was so charming.
“i know, but i didn’t start it, that was you, ” he said leaning into her kiss for a second before pulling away. he took her hand in his gladly. “that sounds nice. i don’t think i have any thing lined up. i need to check in, but i should be okay.”

Gary was undecided whether the man was cowardly or simply had fine self-preservation. “ Fair enough. I’ll pay you once we dock, given if we are in my desired location, and that we have not been shot down. ” He shifted, as he adjusted the satchel around his shoulder. “ I kid. But seriously, we need to move - now. ”
“part now, part when we land,” bodhi said. “just so i know that you aren’t gonna run off and not pay me.” he stuck his hands out. “we leave as soon as i have the credits. i’m trustworthy, are you?”

Jyn muttered something inaudibly against his chest, shifting against him a little. If she wasn’t on the brink of collapsing of exhaustion after being mission for a month, she’d have wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth before it made its way to Bodhi’s shirt. She didn’t, didn’t have the energy to do so. He might insist that she ate, but she was sure medical could do something for her while she slept.
She yawned against him again, feeling her body starting to fall off the edge. Jyn wasn’t sure she could keep herself awake any more.
“Love you.” She told him quietly, her lips pressing a kiss against his shirt and his chest.
bodhi shifted her in his arms, he didn’t care about the little things, like the drool on his shirt and the fact that he could barely understand anything that she said. he only cared that she was still alive, and that he could hold her and that he loved her.
“i love you too,” he said, approaching medical. “are you cold? because i’ll be sure that the people in medical give you enough blankets and stuff,” it was just
he hummed reassuringly as he felt her press her lips to his chest. he was so happy that she was alive. he hadn’t been able to bear it really, the thought that he had lost yet another person he cared for deeply. he would have thought that he was cursed.

rey and poe were, without a doubt, his people. finn wasn’t up with what other people might have been saying about him, but he trusted them with his life. “that’s easy enough with everything going on. rey’s–– off doing her own thing really, with the force thing and all, but i know that at least poe’s got my back.”
“good. stay close to the people that have your back. and rey will come back, because the people who love you, even if they have to do their thing with the force,” bodhi thought about his own time with luke, and other friends. “and the other thing? don’t let things get you down. everything gets better.”

beebee-ate accepted the human’s act of affection towards her warmly, for she had grown very fond of the old man as well. whenever she had any free time, she liked to give bodhi a visit — she also liked to bring him little things she’d picked up from here & there.

“i’ve seen some out-of-shape ships in my time, & this one looks good to me! but i could’ve missed something, of course.”
bodhi loved having a companion. he loved the gifts and the help. and even though she was really poe’s droid mainly, he hoped that he ranked high amongst the droid’s favorite people.
“i don’t think that we’ve missed anything. though it’s always possible. we’ll have to do a few more diagnostics to be sure, would you mind helping me run them?”

Jyn paused for a moment, watching him as he worked. She wanted to flounce away dramatically to make a point - but she knew that would just look childish, and Bodhi could only take so much of her needy behaviour. She knew he was teasing too, and she had to admit she was getting better with it - once upon a time she’d have mistook his teasing for a simple lack of interest and left to sulk on her own, but with time she was managing to override what she had been taught and what she had grown up with, and was getting better at love and understanding in two ways. She couldn’t just expect Bodhi to drop everything for her all the time.
“D’you want to get some caf instead?” She asked. “If neither of us are desperate we can just relax, wait until night for something like that.”
“i would love to get some caf,” he said with a smile. “because i’m not desperate, and then if we want to do this later we can do it when we have time and don’t have to fuck in a closet like teenagers.”
he loved her, and he was wondering why she didn’t just bounce away. he loved her, but sometimes she could be needy beyond his own control. he was not a needy person, and having a partner that was so needy made it harder on him at times. he needed to get work done, and occasionally he would get distracted by her hands and it would throw him off balance and off focus. he loved her, but sometimes she killed his productivity. it was fun and lovely, but he could not get things done.
How does your character behave around people they like?
bodhi is very friendly around people he likes. he sends them messages and gives them gifts and cooks for them, and he does all of this stuff with a giant smile because it makes him so happy to see them happy. and if he likes you there isn’t a single way you could miss it because he’s just kind and caring.
How does your character behave around people they dislike?
he’s very cold around those he doesn’t like in a casual way. and mostly he will just try to avoid them, and won’t talk to them if he’s forced in the same space as the person he doesn’t like. if they are a hard enemy he will try to fight them as best as he can, and if he’s in a prison setting he will bite and kick and punch to get his way out of things.
What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
guts, and gore are some of the standard things that bodhi finds disgusting. he also finds scabs, broken bones, and open wounds super gross. the thing that he hates the most, and the things that he hates but that is the most petty is when people chewing with their mouths open. he hates it so much.
In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
when he was a child he learned how to swim on a rare trip to the one large body of water on jedha. he was floating on his back with his mother’s hands holding him up.in that moment of free floating with support he’s falling asleep and he feels more loved and supported than he had before and in many ways than he ever did previously.

❝ I normally make good judgements, ❞ he breathed in between the kiss, leaning in to capture Bodhi’s lips yet again before moving down to his neck. Slow hips began to move again, not wanting Bodhi to continue to talk so disapprovingly of his own body. ❝ You know me, Bodhi. ❞ At least Wedge hoped he made his intentions clear, how his emotions would go beyond that of a tangible feature, despite the initial hiccup those months ago.
“i’m sure you do,” bodhi said, he relaxed into the kisses, both to his mouth and neck, heartbeat racing. especially as the hips began to again. “i do... i trust you,” he groaned, eyes meeting his partner’s. this felt different than other times, or than that terrible time a while ago.
