I think I’ve told this story before, but I read an article a long time ago that they asked children who watched this show why they loved it.  They expected answers to be about how they like the weird, slightly creepy stuff.  But no, most of the kids answered that it was because the Mommy and Daddy loved each other so much.

Hey there! So as of today I no longer work for Barnes and Noble. If you guys couldn’t guess that’s who my employer was. Everyone with my job position across the country was let go today. I filed unemployment today, have severance pay, will be applying for food stamps, trying to get @tender-vittles and I insurance through either COBRA or private means (they are transitioning on T, we both take lexapro and go to therapy, the have DBT for their BPD). Starting tomorrow I’ll be applying for new jobs, and getting food through soup kitchens, and queer exchanges here etc. 

I’ve worked for B&N for three years and while I knew the company would be ending soon the carpet was kind of pulled out from under my feet. As you can see I have a lot in place to make things work out in the long term, but it’s still scary right now and some help and reassurance in the mean time would be great. I know it’s a tough time for everyone so anything helps.

I really appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from people on here financially before, and even just reblogs or kind wishes/emotional support is a huge deal. 

I’ve gotten sober and healed from abuse so I’ve been telling myself this is no problem and conquerable. I’ve gotten an outpouring of support from both my current and fellow-ex-coworkers, friends, family, and classmates, so I really am quite lucky, but the first couple months are gonna be a bit rough and take some adjusting. Thanks for whatever you can give! <3
