                                                The Graveyard

                             The blood red moon burned the sky with flame                                   Was it in it’s magic, that made me insane                                 To travel alone in the graveyard that night                            I gathered my coat round my neck nice and tight

                                Step one, step two, cold wet feet                                  Tread over the dead, buried 6 foot deep                                       No company but a big black crow                                 Who guarded a grave on the 13th row

                                 It’s been a while, since last walking here                             Tonight the air haunts, warns of ghosts near                                   For a moment I lost my wandering way                                    I couldn’t find where sweet Agnes lay

                               Then, there just over the dried leafed hill                            3 maids stood huddled, shivering with chill                                   “We know it’s silly, each one said,                             But we are scared to be here with the dead…

Dusk to Dread

Monsters prowled the darkened streets. The time was theirs to search for treats. Deny their cravings if you dare, but tricks certain for the unaware. ~ The moon was full and fog was thick. This night they’ll feast, tomorrow sick. Ghosts and goblins in shadows hide. Porch lights flicker but stay outside. ~ Fairies welcome and clowns make fun. Pirates afloat grab treasure and run. Mummies abound wait for their turn. Witches swoop to take what they yearn. ~ Werewolves howl barking desires. The shrunken in wagons mostly criers. Superheroes patrol to keep things in line. The things all laugh cos their doing fine. ~ The much larger zombies follow the pack. They beg and plead for an unwanted snack. The air grew cooler, the end was near. Then sleep soon ended another nightmare.

Werewolf In London

Nearing midnight she walks the streets Perhaps a handsome man she’ll meet The moon was full, no stars in sight The fog lay heavy this Autumn night

Through the mist a man appeared What he wanted was erotically clear His eyes were black, his soul felt dammed But she led him home with a willing hand

Candles lit, ropes and mask What more could anyone sexually ask He growled like a beast with the touch of her His skin was rough and full of fur

The moon appeared through the darkened clouds Howls and screams, blood curdling loud Then silence…

In the morning the newspapers said They found a man lying tied to a bed Ravaged completely from head to toe Attacked by a beast or a wolf of some kind…

Curtains blow where there’s no wind A rocking chair moves, with no one within Muddy foot prints on carpets lay A chandelier moves and flickering sways

Rattling chains, “shrieks and “howls” The smell of blood on ghostly shrouds Banging on walls and creeping down halls No one can stop them…no one at all

Then morning nears and soon the sun Their haunting night is over and done Back the graves and tombs they intern  But tomorrow night…they will return….
