Casey smiled as the bubbly girl opened the door, maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. She certainly didn’t seem to be upset with him. “You look nice.” he told her, realizing that she seemed to have dressed a little differently then usual. Maybe she was experimenting with her clothes? He remembered Isabelle doing that a few times when they were younger. He could have kicked himself at her reaction to bowling however, that was clearly not what the kids did these days. But still, the bowling alley in town seemed nice, and maybe she would enjoy it anyway. “The place in town is pretty nice, Gracie likes to go there. It’s not that difficult, I’m sure you’ll pick it right back up.”
“Thank you, Casey, you too,” Hailey smiled. God, how could he be so cute?! And thoughtful. If she could look in the mirror, she’s see herself making heart eyes all over him. “Well I certainly trust Gracie’s judgment,” she chuckled. She knew how close Casey was with his daughter but aside from that selfish knowledge, Hailey truly liked the kid. She was as cool as a kid could be, at least. And she seem to like Hailey as well so it was all the better. “I’m sure it’ll be a lovely time,” she said, putting a gentle hand on his arm for a moment. “Let’s go then,” she grinned, practically jumping on her spot.
