It's morning, Felicity has to go to a meeting (looks like she has a shirt/dress on because her back is covered) and Oliver is still in bed. She's kissing him good bye before she has to leave to PT.
I’m glad that Oliver and Felicity are the team within the team. They need to be, because the rest of the team? Yeah, they kinda suck.
I really thought they Minus-Arrow Team was going to be a well-oiled machine. I mean, I thought they were in the field. But to what end? The Ghosts have gotten away with stealing from banks for months, and have now moved on to acquiring weapons of mass destruction.
So, well-oiled as far the action goes, but not really well-oiled as far as their mission is concerned.
I miss the days of the Original Team Arrow, having amazing stunt scenes, getting the job done and taking names. This Minus-Arrow Team is nowhere close to that. Not even close to the OTA ++ Team (with Sara and with Roy).
I don’t think they even like each other. I mean, didn’t Thea and LL commit mutiny against John by going behind his back and asking Oliver and Felicity to come back? And every time they did a supportive thing for each other, it was against Oliver. Where was the camaraderie with the Minus-Arrow Team?
I understand that the Minus-Arrow Team has only had five or six months of working together. And I get that they needed to be in over their heads, and they would need Oliver’s skills and experience, and Felicity’s genius, in order to “activate” the couple, so to speak. But I think 4x01 did this team a disservice by making them fail from the get-go. It would have been nice to get a glimpse of them being successful against standard criminals and gangs, and be way in over their heads with the Ghosts.
But, I guess Minus-Arrow Team wasn’t supposed to do that well, no matter how many masks it had in it. Because the team would have been incomplete without Oliver and Felicity.
But what’s with the attitude towards Oliver and Felicity?

But also, about the last part of your post @outoftheclosetshipper, may I add that The Flash must show respect and empathy towards Oliver as well? I’m sick and tired of people taking a dump on him. The man’s saved SC countless times, he’s put himself in danger - HELL, HE WAS WILLING TO DIE IN ORDER TO END RA’S AND SAVE HIS CITY, and he’s gone to hell and back. The man does nothing but protect others and put himself last.
I like The Flash, I really do, but 2x01? The clip from the crossover? NO, THANK YOU. I’m NOT here for people not acknowledging all the good Oliver’s done in order to prop Barry Allen’s ass because he’s The Flash.
Oh Barry. You saved Central City? DID YOU, REALLY? OR was it your friend Ronnie Raymond who did so, died and did not get any recognition? I mean, you have the key of the city! How can you be proud of getting recognition for something you didn’t do? UGH.
I can’t talk about this and I can’t take it anymore. They better start showing him the respect he deserves or I’m done. I’M SO FURIOUS.

I haven’t seen the NYCC reel for Flash because after the S2 premiere, I’m really not that interested. I’ll tune in when I can, and definitely for the cross-overs. But yeah, if no respect is given to Oliver Queen, or if the Flash (or any other hero) is propped up at the expense of Oliver Queen, you can bet I will make huge stink out of it.

You covered everything that needs to improve to make Arrow seem more like itself again. Granted we’re in episode ONE of the new season, but so much was off for me about the dynamics everywhere but with Oliver and Felicity. And, no, that’s not my Pink-Shaded Olicity glasses on - it’s a FACT (see above).
They got shit on more in that episode than the grass at a dog park on a Sunday.
And the writers better be planning to fix it.
Well oiled machine? My fine phat ass. They let the ghosts get away with the cluster bombs, they’ve allowed DD and his ilk to stockpile a massive war chest. What was left of the city’s leadership was murdered in cold blood. Citizens are fleeing Star City in droves. Cluster bombs? That’s the least of their problems.
Minus-Arrow Team (love that btw) has created one fine CLUSTER FUCK of a mess here.
You know what, I’m glad they suck. They disrespected Oliver, and basically acted like Felicity wasn’t even there.
She lied to Oliver for months, just to help their sorry asses. He could’ve really felt betrayed and hurt by what Felicity did. It could’ve potentially harmed their relationship. Thank God for new and improved Oliver.
That train would’ve plowed right into Star City without Oliver and Felicity. Maybe we should dub it the Minus-Olicity Team?
