I'm afraid this post brings the bad news. Despite our very best efforts and quite literally blood sweat and a lot of tears, we have taken the very hard decision to cancel this zine.

We are so very sorry to all of our extraordinary contributors and supporters, and this decision has not been made lightly. However, we had to stop work on the zine to protect our mental and physical health. Both mods have had years from hell, involving multiple deaths and serious illnesses. We are devastated and are devastated to face the untimely end of this project

We will forever be grateful to you all for your support and kindness.

Our contributors have been notified, and if you’ve purchased the zine you should have received a refund. If you purchased with PayPal, you will have received a new payment to the account you used originally. There are a few accounts whose refunds bounced — you will receive an email about an alternative form of refund in the next week. If the message doesn’t reach you, please do let us know at httydzine@gmail.com , as we have not been able to check the messages on social media and email is the only way to get in touch.

Please make sure to check out the artists involved because they're incredibly talented and are some of the loveliest people around. They will be free to post the art they made for the zine now.

Thank you for supporting us on this journey and please accept our deepest apologies. You are all so wonderful.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very very VERY much for your patience with this zine. A quick update from Dana / @faerie.ana is that my zine partner has had to step away from this project due to deeply unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances very recently. I’ve also been unwell myself, but am working very very hard to quickly wrap up our other project so that I can devote my full time to completing this zine as quickly as I can!

The photos and video are of the boxes I’ve finished filling for our other zine project, which I’m sharing to show the progress that’s been made — Jlaire Zine boxes will be filled up soon too!

Our other project will be softly concluded within a week as I finish shipping out all of the orders! I will finish my university semester as well, and then I will be devoting all possible time to completing this zine with all the quality and love that I can give it.

I will be working primarily on my own in the coming weeks on it, and it will be best to reach me with questions or messages at httydzine@gmail.com . If I miss your message, please feel free to send another to make sure I’ve seen it! :)

I truly want to make everyone whose supported the project as happy as possible with the final result. Please email httydzine@gmail.com if there is anything you need, and I will get to it as quickly as I can, though working by myself it may take several days at times to get to the emails.

Again, thank you all very much for your patience with the delays. I couldn’t have predicted much of what we’ve gone through this year, and I have a long way to go to feel healthy and myself again.

Hello friends,

Today we have a bit of sad news to share — this Jlaire zine will still be happening, and relatively soon, but for the time being will be delayed by a couple of months.

We are a team of 2 organizers, and have had some unfortunate life events happen to both of us recently. Both of us are experiencing health problems related to these events, and we’ve thought long and hard about whether to delay the zine substantially. In the end, we need to take care of ourselves and our health and focus on a few other things before continuing to tackle this project with all the love and care it deserves, it’s the only way.

We will let you know as soon as we have more updates—the zine is still happening, and we will still give it our all! But in the meantime thank you for your patience and understanding.

(The photos are just test samples of the zine enamel pins! Proof that we’ll still be moving along at a slower pace. They are color tests, the final pins will have a more finished look. Some color edits will be made, Claire’s skin tone being changed in the first pin and some color balance issues fixed. Screen printed details will be added to the pin set, and all pins will be plated. Slide 1 pin by @faerieana and Slide 2 + 3 pins are by @ferisae !)

Hello our lovely supporters!! We apologise for the silence lately, however we have a great update for you all today! We have been busy behind the scenes, and here is the first of our merchandise. Aren’t they so beautiful? We hope you love it!

Lots more updates coming soon! Enamel pins and charms are in production, other merch items are being ordered, and the zine itself is being arranged and designed. The artwork is just beautiful.

For full transparency, our mod team has had some real-life events recently that have slowed our production down a bit, but we are working tirelessly to complete everything to the highest degree of quality that we can. We can’t wait to show you more!

Today’s preview is a GLORIOUS piece from @biancasiercke who posted it as well a few days ago. She painted this beautiful fan illustration for our fanzine to use! The depiction is a fan illustration, from the fan concept that Claire is the one to pull Excalibur and Jim is her knight.

It’s so beautiful, and we’re extremely pleased to announce that we’ll be sending prints of this illustration out along with any physical order made during preorders, open for 1 more full day 🤍

Hello everyone!! With 3 days left of previews, here is a little treat for all of our preorderers! So many of our artists were able to contribute sticker designs for a collaborative sticker sheet, we decided to produce 2 sticker sheets instead of 1, and include one of them at the 150 orders mark and the other at the 200 orders mark! (We hit 150 last night and are currently sitting at 167!)

Good day! How long will the zine be available for, after the pre-order?

Hello there!!

If I’m understanding correctly, our answer is that after preorders close after May 17, there is no guaranteed way to get the zine after that

We do plan on having an aftersale if we have enough leftover stock, which would be in a few months after all preorderers have received their packages, but there are no guarantees on the amount of extra merch and books we’ll have.

Thanks so much for the interest!! We absolutely love doing this project! :)
