While we're all talking about the antiblackness, transmisogyny, and zionism running rampant on the Tumblr staff team, can we talk about the fact that Tumblr staff has sided with a known predator several times too?

Months ago, an account called @critterkiddo posted a callout on @toonimal for being a pedophile and zoophile and running a website where adults and minors can exchange CSEM. Both accounts were then terminated, critterkiddo for "targeted abuse and harassment" and toonimal probably because of mass reporting.

Critterkiddo wasn't just terminated, though — all reblogs of the callout were wiped from Tumblr.

Toonimal's account was then reinstated. I submitted the following Harm To Minors report:

We thought that the issue with the callout that led to the termination of critterkiddo was that we revealed some of toonimal's personal information in it. Information that was available to the public, mind you, but most websites are legally required to respond to complaints about their users being "doxxed" so whatever. I was actually doxxed when I was 15 and no one lifted a finger to help me despite the dozens of reports I submitted, but alright. We revised the document and removed all of toonimal's identifying information, and I posted the new version of the callout on @bi-greed —

And the same thing happened again. I was terminated. The reblogs of the callout (which had over 4,000 notes) were wiped. I have not received a response to the appeal request I submitted, last week.

Toonimal's blog remains active, where he gloats about @predstrogen getting terminated when he didn't because "she was breaking the rules and he wasn't:"

Because apparently it's fine for him to use Tumblr to advertise his website where adult self-identified pedophiles can talk to minors, as well as various other things like promote his belief that having sex with dogs should be legal and DM a Black survivor of police brutality to call them a cop bootlicker for disagreeing 🥴

You don't have to reblog this, but I would appreciate it if you did. It is very disappointing to me that Tumblr staff has gotten away with covering for toonimal twice. I'm too scared to repost the link to the callout a second time because I know I'll be terminated again, but I want people to know:

i honestly regret making this post. i wrote it around the time the shit with predstrogen was happening and ppl were finally witnessing firsthand for the first time the way tumblr as a website treats its trans women users. it was made in the heat of the moment which is why it's so surface level.

but if i could go back i would have written something much longer and more well thought out that actually brings to light the issues i as a trans woman have noticed due to the way ive been treated by other selfshippers. bc as it stands this post is still getting reblogged and it's reached the point of being one of those posts calling for things to get better that people just reblog and go back to going about their day without giving it much thought or any effort to changing the way they actually think and behave wrt trans women. being surface level is a problem when it comes to issues like this bc it lets people just click reblog without thinking about which aspects of their behavior need changing.

it really shouldnt be my fucking responsibility to make a call to action for other selfshippers to be less transmisogynistic (even if they think they already arent) but im literally the only trans woman selfshipper i know and ive had this blog for 5 years. and i dont think thats a coincidence

What’s even more frustrating is that I know y’all just gonna ignore this because tumblr is a very white dominated space and some of you don’t think you need to do any introspection at all because you think you’ve done the work already. But I am tired of y’all never centering or uplifting studs in lesbian spaces. They’re not the shadow of the rest of y’all. I’m pretty sure there’s like 2 Black lesbians, and like 6 Black sapphics on here (me included) and I have made the observation that y’all don’t really make it apparent to include us in sapphic spaces. We don’t get tagged to participate in games or selfie threads, we don’t get reblogged enough or y’all never reblog pictures of Black lesbians or Black sapphic couples because y’all don’t see us as the beauty standard, we get talked over in group settings, we get ignored when trying to make friends with y’all (I have noticed that white femmes tend to acknowledge me more than white butches tho) and it feels very isolating and ostracizing to see us as an afterthought and I genuinely think that’s why there’s hardly any Black lesbians on here or Black sapphics in general. Cus they don’t feel appreciated, seen or centered on here. Y’all treat us like an extension of y’all that’s not worth paying attention to. But the point is, is that studs and Black femmes have rich, beautiful experiences and we’re not the “Black version” of anything.
