Hannibal should not exist. It’s a cat-and-mouse game between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham. It’s a police procedural about the world’s most unhinged and creative serial killers. Will dresses slutty and flirts with Lecter to catch him. They make many cannibal puns. They have a daughter, who also kills people, who is also killed by Hannibal during their breakup. Hannibal tries to eat Will’s brain. Will gets married for the bit. Hannibal uses a cattle prod to milk a dude. Theres an avant garde lesbian sex scene. Will goes to therapy just to call his therapist a bitch and be homoerotic. Hannibal and Will celebrate getting together by brutally murdering a man and throwing themselves off a cliff. You need a thesaurus to follow half the conversations and a degree in art theory to dissect some of the imagery. It’s the perfect show.
