So, apparently, Dabb killed off Crowley because they no longer knew what to do with him and they thought he was getting boring. Meanwhile, Castiel has been repeating the same arc for how long now? Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Cas, and I don’t want him off the show, but he’s been following the same feeling worthless - trying to fix problems - making everything worse pattern for some time now, and Crowley is the one getting stale? Not to mention, Mark has offered to help with Crowley’s arcs and development, but for whatever reason, Dabb couldn’t have that - maybe he knew what Mark would come up with would far overshadow anything he did because it would actually be good.

The bottom line is, there was no good reason to kill off Crowley, and then to treat Mark like shit by cutting out what he wrote. Crowley and Mark deserved better.

is it really too much to ask for dean winchester smoking one (1) cigarette in an episode of supernatural

Follow-up question: would you be okay if they played it for laughs (i.e., Dean trying to look cool smoking a cigarette and then coughing badly) or do you want it to be obvious that he’d had experience smoking pre-series?

‘cause even though there’s a lot to suggest that Dean’s done recreational drugs and would probably be chill at smoking, I feel like that first scenario would be more likely to happen on screen

no no no no no. i would not be ok. i want dean ducking his chin into his collar against the wind at the end of the episode and pensively smoking a loose cigarette from his jacket pocket, only to furtively stub it out when sam comes up behind him with some brothers-feelings-nonsense. i want him blowing smoke out his stupid pretty mouth and squinting into the freaking sunset while he talks about his emotional problems in his damn deep sexy voice and fidgets his fingers across the scratched surface of his zippo. i want casual, i want moody, i want dirty. miss me with that “play it for laughs” business
